cue help

You may do some research on Rick Howard's work. Great cuemaker and he does do some similar design work.

I can't personally recommend anyone at the moment, but if you ask/look around you'll find something. I bought my Dishaw in '94 or '95 because it was considered "a poor mans' Southwest" at the time. Dan's cues are not cheap now, however. Dan played with a Southwest before he started making cues and modeled his after them. I owned two myself and the Dishaw was the closest I could get at the time, has a bit softer hit, in my opinion.

i would recommend posting this in the wanted forum....i just posted about the same thing and got plenty of good offers just last week.....

coker cues are what you are looking for. they are a very good starter cues that play well for a reasonable price. give michi coker a call (916) 383-4410 and she'll tell you what she has.

Look at KF Cues (KaoFa). Their S6 series of cues are similar in design to SW and are very high quality cues at reasonable prices. I got mine a few years back and I think was $400-500.

The cues are semi custom and produced after you order to your specs of weight, tip diameter, taper, wrap, joint, etc.

I think Tony Crosby is running the KF Cues Tour in the US, and can probably give you more information on availablility in the US than I can.
