Need Tip Help!

Sense when did Sniper become a HARD tip ?
When it has a hardness rating under 65 and elk masters are a 62 ?

Lepro is a hard tip, I like triangle tips but they are rated medium hard .

If you want hard why not have a phenolic tip installed ?
I can get more draw with my break cue then any other tip.....

You could do a milk dud triangle !

Elk masters, Le Pro and Triangle are all hard tips. I agree. None of those are layered, so my sniper suggestion may have just been a suggestion.
But dude, what the heck to I know?? You get more draw with your BREAK cue than anything else!
Why stop at phenolic to get your hard tip goin?? Hell, just cut up a cyclop ball, shave it down to a dime radius (or nickel, because my suggestions tend to be ill recieved) chalk that bad boy up and start practicing your lag?.........:boring2:

Na, Tiger's Sniper is slightly harder than an Onyx; all are rated medium at ~75.
The Everest gets hard after about 2 months and is a bit thinner which is what you might like because it's more direct!
The Sniper holds its "bouncyness" longer and gets softer again with reshaping.

Both Sniper and Onyx have 1 additional layer compared to the Everest, and start out a bit "bouncy", but in a very nice way.

Tiger's Dynamite is harder, but haven't had the change to actually play it.

The Onyx is a weird mix of everything, but feels very very direct (even freshly installed) but not hard or mushy. Just very nice.

I've heard good things of the Ultraskins and Wizard, also the hard ones.

Superpro is hard, milk dud really isn't. Superpro is a good playing hard tip, far harder than triangles for sure.

And whoever said elk master evidently has never played with a hard tip.

Elk master is the second softest tip made in the world..................
Sniper is a soft tip,, it is softer then a Kamui soft !! according to the tip hardness rating chart....
Triangle is not a hard tip it is a medium to a medium hard tip.

I am with you all on the Super Pro' s, Trangles and Milk Duds. All I am using now. Anything med/soft I have to cut them short and pound racks to get them right for me. Then I am changing them out once a month. Hassle.

I play with milk dud's, and don't view them as a hard tip. They hold their shape well, but for the most part play like a medium soft tip to me.

I grew up playing cut down le pro's, and after a week of breaking with them they were pretty hard. Super pro's play like that, maybe a bit harder.

So I have determined that I really like hard tips. I can spin the rock and I like the positive feedback from the hard tip.

I ordered a Kitech hard and it was really hard (which I like). I ordered more and they weren't as hard as the first one,, as a matter of fact, they felt more like mediums.

I ordered a G2 hard tip, and I like it very much, but it still wasn't quite as hard as I want.

Can anyone suggest a tip to me that is truly a HARD tip?

The first Ki-Tech hard I tried a long time ago was quite hard. I have not tried one recently. I think the Kamui medium black is on the hard side, so I would assume the Hard Black would be great for you. Also, long ago I used to use a WB black water buffalo single layered tip to break. I found it to be quite hard and an awesome break tip. You may also wish to give the Ultra Skin HH a try. That one is quite hard as well.

I don't think they are super hard but Triangle have always been a good tip with nice feel, and they aren't priced like the others.

How long will hard tips last, do they mushroom? Need trimming reshaping?

I'm thinking to try some if they are lower maintenance and longer lasting
