I’m looking for a new shaft to replace a unique matching collar. My question is, could the collar from the original shaft still be used to make a new shaft? Who makes the best custom shafts on the market? Thank you

This.

The first shaft I made was for a Huebler that had a badly warped shaft. Removed the ring and put it on the new shaft and it looks factory (still needs a finish though).

Can you take the collar and piloted section off a 5-16/14 compression joint and put it on a new shaft?

If so, how much?
