I don't doubt you at all. Yes it is definitely possible to still love the game and not play. I have ALWAYS wanted to play, but for a variety of reasons had to give up playing the game - I played maybe 3 times between 1975 and 2002 (just a banger from '69-'75, but enjoyed the hell out of it). BUT, I always loved the game, watched any pool I could, and bought every book on pool I ever saw (reading them over and over). I FINALLY got my pool table (my wife promised it in 1978, and finally delivered in 2002), fell in with a bunch of really sharp pro's, and its been a tremendous ride over the past 3 1/2 years learning and playing the game. Don't let anyone discourage you, your time and opportunity for play will come - and the wait will be worth it I promise.
