I'm not sure where to post this, but I really need help. At Altus AFB, in the NCO club, we have 2 relatively new Brunswick table. They were set up very poorly. They roll off dramatically and the pockets are not installed right as they reject balls regularly. The table will actually slide across the floor when leaning over for a shot. People have put cardboard under the legs to try to level, but I know the is the wrong thing to do.

What I'm hoping to find is a good table mechanic in the Altus, OK surrounding area willing to donate their services to reset these tables. I know it's a lot to ask and I'm not sure if I have that many karma points stored, but if you could help, an entire Air Force base would appreciate it.

I know it's been a while since this thread was started...Maybe this post can help some folks in the midwest.

I had the privledge, yes the privledge to pay someone to re-cover my table a few days ago.

As Snapshot mentioned it was Jack Shurtz and his wife Eva. They went ABOVE and BEYOND to make sure my table was in the best playing shape it possibly could be.

Without question the best mechanic's I've ever encountered in my life. Long story very short....Jack puttied and sanded the joints about 6 times getting ready to lay the cloth. They covered the rails and were ready for "final assembly"...Jack ran his hand over the slate one last time after cleaning it with a wet towel and before he laid the cloth...He said, "It just doesn't feel right"...got out his tools, mixed another batch of "putty" spread it, resanded it, recleaned it...then said...ok, we're good now and continued to cover the table with 860 and this is arguably the truest table I've ever played on. Showed me a test with his level and a dollar bill and proved that my table is level to within less than the thickness of a dollar bill.

If you are in the midwest, Jack and his wife are the BEST. No questions asked. Hell, I would have paid just to have him in my home and telling me stories and giving me his amazing outlook on life.

Their work is impeccable...flawless...amazing. I can't say enough good things about my experience with them or the outcome of their work.
