does anyone know anything about this, my apa team is trying to convince me to make the jump and from what I have read I am the only one this will benefit. Anyone know anything about it? Vegas? Do you win all expenses paid? And what is the 12 team 1 team goes rule? Any feed back would be great

Or you can go to The Billiards Cafe in Ayer Tuesday or Wed nights, I'll be there and can explain the league structure, Roy Pastor who runs the league is also there most evenings. Look for a bald guy with glasses with a 13 yr old monster player hanging out with him
The game rules and handicapping are great, a lot more flexibility than the APA rankings, these go from 30 (I think) to 125, so a B+ playing an A+ would be a 100 point to 125 game, in the APA they would both be 7s even though one player is better by a good margin. Each win is 14 points, and the loser gets 1 pt for each ball he/she makes.
At least in the 10 ball Masters division, it's called shot, rack your own, and it's a gentlemens rule for called shot. You don't need to call it unless it's an odd shot, if you bank a ball and it's clear that you meant to play it in that pocket, no one will question you to try to get a cheap win even if you don't call the bank. Or at least I should say "most" people won't hehe.
As far as the details about the Vegas national tournament trips, Roy would be best to ask about that. He does not post here though, so I suggest taking a drive to Ayer to meet him. There are team trips, and there is a tournament to send a singles player to Vegas, last one I am pretty sure the top 3 players got the trip. Even the Masters division with 6 teams will be sending a team to Vegas.

Yes, I go to Snookers a few times a month, we played a couple of times in the tournament. I actually started a post to see if anyone knew if you were using and aiming system because of the large amount of pointing with the cue and wiggling it around you do LOL
