New 14.1 Thread. Updates on Ortmann/Jasmin and Hohmann/Van den Berg

Jasmin / Ortmann: 187-129. Jasmin ahead and at the table.

Jasmin has managed to run out half this tricky rack. I think she may be left without a shot now, though. Let's see what she comes with.

She's eye'ing a three-ball combination. I'm not so sure of it. These pockets are spitting out lots of combinations. She's really looking at this a while.

She goes down, and ails it with speed. Breaks out the cluster.


Hohmann / VDB: 193-136. VDB leading and at the table.
 
Joey: Ortmann facial expression is never happy, even when he's running out. This is typical Ortmann. A machine, and never a happy-looking one.
 
Jasmin / Ortmann: 185-13X

Ortmann just missed an easy break shot. He's going to kill someone.... perhaps himself.

Hohmann / VDB: 195 - 136. VDB ahead and shooting.

VDB makes his break ball but barely glances the stack. How come the last 4 balls are always so difficult? VDB runs his last balls. HOHMANN ELIMINATED!!!!!!

Um.... in perhaps the worst timing for a raffle drawing, they're doing the cue give away right now. WTF? Ortmann is shooting regardless. He doesn't give a f*ck. van den Berg is taking time to sit while they do this silly raffle. The audience is afraid to clap for the raffle winners, in fear of the wrath of Oliver Ortmann's glare.

The announcers doing a great job but too bad he had to follow orders!

Jasmin needs the balls on the table. Doesn't need to worry about a break shot. This frees her up to play any ball she wants, and also means that if she misses she will have more than likely taken away Ortmann's break shot.

She's running out. 4 balls left. No problems posed. All the balls are near a pocket, except for one in the center of the table, and it's all 1-rail position from here.
 
Jasmin has one ball left on the table. It's a hanger, but Ortmann racks the 14 balls instead of conceding. Jasmin is about to win!

About Ortmann's machine-face. This is what Tony Drago said about it:

"You know what, I can tell you if Ortmann has been drinking beer or not. If he's been drinking he's smiling and laughing" :)
