New 6 Point Tim Scruggs Cue

After many months of patiently waiting, I now get to enjoy my new 6 point Tim Scruggs cue. I definitely want to share a few pictures of my new beauty:

Look what the UPS man delivered!!!

Butt section...

Lizard wrap grip...

Beautiful veneers on the high points (ebony, purple heart, light blue and natural)

Custom joint protectors...

Not only does this cue play great, but I have a hard time tearing my eyes away from it. It's really a piece of art in the form of a cue stick!

I can't give enough thanks to Tim and Mike for their efforts in creating this great cue. They are very personable and easy to work with (as many others have echoed here before). I spoke with both of them many times during the design and build phases of this cue. I feel that Mike made special efforts to try to incorporate many of my ideas into this cue (sharing thoughts and pictures with me along the way), and then using his artistry and craftmanship to taylor the design and blend all the pieces together into a beautiful finished product!

Thanks Tim and Mike!!!

Awesome cue. Tim hasn't lost a step. He is one of the best and has been for many years. Congrats on one beautiful cue.

You made the right choice. Tim & Mike make some amazing cues.
Congrats to ya.

That is a very nice cue.
Love the ring work and especially love the inlays in the butt.
Some great work by Tim and Mike.

Great looking cue Rick. i'll have to make my way south and check it out in person. how do you like the lizard skin wrap(compared to softer leather)?

Hey Sam, come on down anytime; you know where I can be found ;).

The lizard skin wrap is definitely a change for me. It doesn't have as much thickness or density as the leather wrap, so you have a more direct feel of the cue beneath the wrap (there is a slightly thinner distance between the fingers of your grip hand and the actual cue). The texture is also quite noticable when you first grip it, although it's not something that I notice when I am concentrating on shot making.
[Others can chime in here about the feel of lizard skin wrap]

Thanks Guy!
I think I may have you to blame/thank for getting me started down this road in the first place. I was so satisfied with that first TS cue that you sold me, that it eventually led me to add another Scruggs cue to my collection. This is where it ends, right? ;)

Seriously nice cue Rick. Pure class! Congratulations!
Thanks Ralph. Also, I appreciate the input you provided to me a while back, when I was just starting down the road of having Tim and Mike build this custom cue for me.

Very very nice, you couldn't have done much better. The caps match perfectly also and look great.

rick, you may have been infected with OCD (obssesive cue disorder). trust me, this is just a beginning, not an ending. but you will have a great journey!

New TS cue

I really like your new TS cue. I have a friend who has a Cochran cue which has no metal rings or metal joint with the big joint pin like your cue and it plays great.....
