a little birdie told me it might be available in English by the end of the year (or maybe a bit earlier). It's mouth-watering product but if you don't understand German you won't be able to make the most of it. So we have to wait until it's there. (Byt the way the original DVD was released in November so I'm not surprised with the silence about it, most of us are English-speakers here. If it wasn't cueballvision site during WTC, I wouldn't have known about that DVD either). Thanks for the note.

Ralf Souquet is a World 8-Ball champion and multiple European 8-Ball champion, and he ran 27 consecutive racks in 8-Ball which is just insane! I mean he is the one to listen to when he talks about 8-Ball!!!

Looks like a great video, he told me about it. I'm looking foward to seeing it.

Fatboy,

Did Ralph tell you about the video and if so, did he say an english version is in the works? I bloody well hope so, a must have IMO.

JAW725, it is planned. Read post #2. German Souquet is Ralf. German Eckert is Ralph. Those Europeans' names are way too confusing

Ralf speaks GERMAN? I've never heard him speak anything other than English. :D

Glad to see him letting loose with some of those "secrets". I'm holding out for his mental toughness video.

I know Ralf knows some "special secrets" about competing & dealing with pressure. (He told me so)

"The Kaiser" named in the U.S. 8 Ball champion Ralf Souquet in 2008, gives insight into his strategic approach. Look of games Ralf Souquet moderated his approach. Why did he play the ball as what he thinks of where and especially why and as he placed the white Cueball. Ralf discussed important issues and then passes on his experience. Its contribution to a successful 8 Ball Pool Spiel.Diese fundamental insights will help enormously to improve their own strategic play. "

Can't beat Google Language Tools.

Well it's functional, but not the best translation. I could have translated it rather better if asked. Still, it's a free tool...

on a side note, it's been easily beaten with a missed space sign

Would love to see/buy this but excuse me, why does he not make a DVD in
English in the first place ?
If this German version is made for the German market - OK - but if it's
intension is for the rest of the English speaking World I would have put my
money on a English version from the beginning which I'm sure would not be a problem for him.

Anyway, I keep watching for the international version.

The potential German-speaking market is ~95 million, so is larger than you think. Add to that many other Europeans, such as the Dutch, Poles, and Danish, who often understand German pretty well.
A number of well-known German bands - e.g. Die Toten Hosen, Die Ärzte, Böhse Onkelz, and Rammstein - have made a good living singing in German only.

I can't wait to see this. Ralf comes across as so patient and intelligent, I can't help feeling like he'd be a great instructor. I'm half tempted to say screw it and get the german version anyway, then beg some buddies to translate. Maybe I can pick up what's being said just by watching. Prolly not though.

You have a fair point newton. This thing would sell much better in english and we know his english is quite solid. I just finished watching another fine german english-speaker, Oliver Ortmann, in an accustats player review.

Just my take on it - why spend the time to speak German first - to then do it all again.... If there is one thing I have learned - if a document have 1% chance of getting back to me for a translate - I do it in English from day one.

Anyway, the point is that Ralph has shared his thoughts and I guess many of us are
interested and just have to find the version which fit's to their own language capabilities.
I know some words in German :
1: Ich heisse XXXXX
2: Ein bier bitte. Noch ein bier bitte.Noch ein bier bitte, Noch e...in Z...zzzz (Ref October fest )
