on sale at rocklers, $499
the larger size is about $750 to $800
i think this one is plenty for what i need

I have the same machine. It works great. Be sure to run dust colection on it every time you use it. Not just for your health but also because it helps keep the belt clean, especially with purple heart. That wood can gum up a belt in a hurry. Chris.

I was checking out this very same sander and the larger 16X32 3 or 4 weeks ago and the cheapest I could find was at Amazon.com. This was Amazon.coms everyday price, with free shipping that made it around 30.00 cheaper (no sales tax) but after just now checking to get the link it says that they are out of them and don't know if the will be getting any more.

That's cool but I believe that any business that has a store or operation in a state that the item is being shipped to must charge that state's sales tax. I could be mistaken but that's what has always happened to me when ordering off the net. Still a nice price though. Years ago I bought a new Enco lathe with free shipping. Enco has a store in Cleveland OH so they said that I would have to pay sales tax. To get around it, I had the lathe shipped to a grave yard in northern KY and when it was delivered they put it into the back of the grave yard managers pick-up truck and he brought it over to my shop. Saved me around 150.00.

Busted !!!

Dick, what were you thinking? You don't think IRS people play pool? One or two could actually be a reader too. Well, tax time is right around the corner and I just know you'll want to do the right thing......LOL !!!

Pretty slick trick though.

The IRS could care a less about that. It is the State Department of Revenue that doesn't like that type of thing.

I didn't take tax into consideration, a lot of these online stores do price matching, you might try someone like the toolking, they have it listed at 580 with free shipping but if I remember they do price matching there.
