Yea that one also caught my eye with the coloring. But I don't think phenolic can be stained though. I think it has to be made that color. Part of me is thinking the joint collar is not even phenolic but some type of bone, hippo or mamoth? But if it was im sure it would have been in the description as a selling poiint huh? It just has such a unique marbalization on it.

That's bone ivory, I have one on order that will have fossilized mammoth ivory...as stated above, Eric's raw materials are all first rate, he has a great eye for beautiful combinations of wood and adornments.
Eric is like a great chef, he has some of the best raw ingredients out there, he puts them together with skill and knowledge and let's them do the talking.

Eric posts alot on EPT forum. Some of the threads that he started make for really interesting reading. If you want to learn more about the materials he's using it's worth checking it out.

Again it looks like its grained and marblized but no one mentions anything about it being bone or ivory. But its great looking phenolic if its that lol.

Those are some very nice looking cues. I think it is incredibly rare to find a 'batch' of cues directly from the cuemaker like this.

The 8 pointers have the finest shaft wood I have ever seen.

Thanks for the comment Mason, but Eric and I discussed it quite a bit and we both felt $1,800 was a fair price.
 
It's kinda funny how that works. I thought the remaining cue was the best of the bunch and would be the first to go.

That kinda happened to us at Valley Forge as well. The stuff I figured would be quick to sell, I took home. The stuff I figured would never move was gone the first day.

There is just no accounting for different peoples tastes.

I would also like to personally Thank all those who have bought cues from us both past and present. We really appreciate having such a great and loyal customer base. I look forward to offering you as many great cues as possible.

that is one of the sweetest pieces of Birdseye i have ever seen in the handle and the price is fair,but i think when they see a Merry Widow with regular shafts at $1400 and 8 pointers with King Kong shafts they want the points and the shafts for a minimal surcharge.
 
The one remaining cue is the first cue that I would have gone after if I were in the market. I've recently fallen in love with buckhorn, and that cue does it for me. Waaaayyy back a few years ago before I was a member here, I was one of the earliest members on the EPT forum, and I can remember when "qbuilder" first came on and started talking about woods, and how "as a hobby" he made cues once in a while. He wrote often about his many adventures around the country pulling his trailer in search of that perfect piece of wood. Then a couple of the guys from EPT bought some, liked them, and all the time I was thinking to myself, one of these days I'm gonna have to buy one of his cues..............................................well, it appears that I'm too late now. Wish I would have known.
None the less, Eric is a great guy, and is always willing to 'talk wood' and I've learned quite a bit from reading some of his posts.

Sugartree cue

Yeah, haven't talked to Eric much, but you just gotta love his wood choices. Great looking cues without being loud in inlay designs. I am excited because I have a sneaky of his made from an antique house cue coming in Wednesday. At least that is what UPS tracking says. can't wait to hit with one of his cues. I have a very low-key style Sugartree coming, but I am still excited. Just can't wait.
