Jose,

Please post as soon as you know whether the coming year's finals, unlike those this past weekend, will be held at a venue which welcomes *all* pool community members who follow the tour.

Since our son is not welcome at Atlantic City Billiards despite his standing as a junior player, that decision affects our own decisions regarding our son's and our participation as spectators and competitors.

Thanks very much for your assistance and understanding...

You and your family, especially the young pool player, deserve an apology.

I am glad that you found a little joy in attending the Joss Northeast 9-Ball Tour event at Comet Billiards after you were humiliated at Atlantic City Billiards.

What a shame you expended all of those monies in an effort to support your young son's desire to play pool, only to be cursed at and turned away.

I can assure you of one thing, on the Joss Northeast 9-ball Tour, all players are treated equal. Please do consider going to the Turning Stone Casino in February, where players of all caliber are welcome. The admission is FREE, and though you can bring your own alcohol, the Turning Stone Casino is an alcohol-free establishment.

Wow, sounds like i missed out on an incident.
I'd like to know exactly what the circumstances were or why there was an incident in case it were to apply to more then just Team Castillo in future tournaments.

Are the details allowed to be discussed, or would Team Castillo like their privacy respected.

Team Castillo..... it appears from what i can see is that players under 16 are not allowed. My question to Jose would be. Is that (no players under 16) just a stipulation to the tournament in Atlantic City or is that a new rule for the whole tour..... inquiring minds would like to know.....................mike

Not My Pool Room Have To Follow Pool Hall Rules

The Idea for not having anyone under the age of 16 is the pool hall owner rule always has been I do not own the pool hall and there is nothing I can do about it. I personally said sorry to the parties mention, If i would have known this was the case i would have posted it. They were not the only ones turned down for bringing there kids. Danny Bassavich , Eddie Abraham as well as Allan and Dawn Hopkins kids were not allowed in the pool hall. This rule has always applied I just never knew about it. I have to go by what the pool hall rules are this is the only stop that I know that does not allowed kids under the age of 16. But if the junior were to be a member of the tour he cannot be turned down. Again i am sorry

Jose,

You were very gracious and we appreciate that. We support the Blaze tour completely, as we always have, but we have no intention of going to Atlantic City Billiards. My question regarding the finals is really because we want to avoid the situation of following the tour all year and then having to decide whether to go there.

As far as the policy, if you look on Atlantic City Billiards' website you will see that they state that nobody under 16 is allowed *after 6 PM*. I discovered that yesterday. As you know, it was 1:30 in the afternoon when we were there. I don't get it.

In any case, thanks again for your positive attitude and I'm sure we'll see you soon.
