New carbide PC slot cutters 5 for $33 shipped in lower 48

Monk slayer at about $5 each I'm asking for the ones I'm selling it is probably as cheap or cheaper than a sharpening service would charge. Some of the cue makers I have sold them to have built a jig for there milling machines to allow them to sharpen these 3 wing slotcutters, but I've been told that it is real hard to get the perfect angle on the grind. It will not cut as good as a new factory sharpened blade or as long in most cases.--Leonard

Monk,

Well, we aren't really that big, but we do go through a fair amount of cutters.

We did sharpen for a little while, but didn't like the results. Since, we have been buying new ones and just keeping the old ones. When I can build a better sharpening fixture, we will have plenty of cutters to last quite a while!

i got mine yesterday. took some tweaking but i think i will like the end results. on my last cut i took like bare minimum off. like 10 thou total and it was pretty smooth.

here is my question. what purpose does the bearing on the abror serve? some come with and some come without. i got both for testing. im sure its not there by accident so any help would be appreciated. my guess would be to get something spinning on the bottom for better balance maybe? just a guess.

also i sharpen my lathe tools. i tried router bits but i find it hard to get the perfect sizes on all edges. so if your using a 3 wing cutter like these and you grind one too low you are basically using a 2 wing cutter bc one edge is not touching

Dave,
In regular wood working use, these are used for slot cutting. Similar to a tongue and groove joint. For this use, the bearing rests up against the edge of the board to set the depth of cut. If you look at the picture on the package of cutters, this might make more since. Usually can get different bearing sizes for different depth of cut settings.

I still have some slotcutters left but ther going quick thanks to todays orders, and thanks again to Searingcues, Manzino cues, Jim's cue shop and OB1 cues for a quick second order. All these orders went out today guys, AZ'ers rock and yes I will buy the AZ club membership when I get a minute.--Leonard Holmes

The bearing has no use for us. You can replace it with a delrin, aluminum or uhmw nut.
Got mine . Thanks Leonard.

I got mine last week. very quick shipping. I tried doing that I-Trader thing but don't know if I did it right as I've never messed with it much. Let me know.

I was sent an PM about leaving an I-trader report which I filled out and submitted. Later, after checking, it was not in place so I filled out another report and submitted it. Just now after checking I see that it still has not been recorded. So, just now I tried 3 more times to submit positive feed back and each time I hit the submit button a message says that I have something wrong in the fields but it doesn't state what. It looks to be straight forward: for first box I put "buyer", on second box I put "positive" and then I stated my opinion of the transaction in 80 letters or less and finally hit "submit". Just what does this I-trader thing have against me?

Dick it has been said by you in this post and that is all I will ever need to hear or read, I'm happy the cutters arrived and happy I can help out the greatest cuemakers in the world with a little savings.--Leonard

PS I wish I could buy some more

Thanks for the trade Mr. Barenbrugge, the price on the joint pins is unbelievable to start with. I can't buy the threaded rod that cheap and then I would have to cut it into 25 pieces, thanks again.--Leonard
