Anyone tried this yet ? Got a sleeve ordered. Pure silica formula, five years in the making.

The "dawg" says they have an exclusive for now.

At $2 per "cube", I might actually try it.

Is it just a coincidence that the sum of the internal angles of an octagon is 1080 degrees?

Pretty reasonable price for "performance" chalk. I got the Balabushka, Blue Diamond and the Magic Chalk, plus of course the Masters. So far my faves are Magic Chalk, then a tie between the Blue Diamond and the Balabushka. Masters, although it works, feels a lot grittier now to me after using the finer grained chalk. I don't like the feel of it when I'm chalking anymore, after 20 or so years of using pretty much all Masters.

Will have to pick some of this up to try it.

Although my son was already laughing at me when I took out 3 different boxes of chalk from my case as well as some random Masters LOL, I felt like an equipment snob :embarrassed2:

Sweet!! I have been waiting for this to come out!

Thanks for letting us know that it is now available. I just placed an order and will let you guys know what I think.:thumbup::thumbup:

I have tried it but somehow I still prefer Blue Diamond compared to Brunswick or Balabushka. I did one day find a chalk that looks like a Masters chalk but on it was written "Laos". Tried it and loved it even more. Lent it to my friend to use for his money game and it was gone. I wonder if the bet had included the "Laos" chalk.

The Predator chalk seemed to grind the tip even when painted on. To gritty for my taste. I like the Blue Diamond.

I've been using the Kamui and really like it. Use a very light touch, it goes on very even and smooth and definitely lasts longer. After that, I like Blue Diamond.

I just order the 5 pack of Predator. $9.99. I hope it is similar to the Kamui and if so, no reason to consider anything else IMHO.

I got some of this in. This is all preliminary as I've only played a couple of hours using it.

This clearly isn't a substitute for Kamui. It doesn't "paint" on like Kamui and it clearly is much harder. It does seem to be finer grit that Master, Blue Diamond, etc.. If it lasts longer than Blue Diamond, it isn't a significant amount and doesn't seem to compare to Kamui at all.

My main point here is if you are thinking this is Kamui for $2 per cube (ok, octagon), it clearly isn't. However, it appears to be very good chalk and for those who don't like Kamui but prefer a more traditional chalk, this may be worth trying.

It isn't like kamui, but you don't mind chalking every shot as part of the pre shot.

I actually prefer predator to kamui sans the price even.

I thought it was a lot like The NIR Super Professional. A good chalk but a bit "powdery" I think in the end I'll stick with the Balabushka. The Balabushka feels a little softer and easier to to use. I bought 2 boxes of it so I'll use it but to me this chalk sort of needed a break in period but maybe that was just me. I did like it better than the Magic Chalk but I never saw anything special about that anyways. More proof that chalk is is more or less a personal preference or a matter of a habit. Something like: if you believe that $30 or $5 or octagonal chalk is making you play better, then it is.

I used the Pred chalk a few months back for a week. I gave it away and will stick with Magic and BD.

Nuff said!!!
