Just to let everyone know we spent the day today setting up the Kress and cutting V- points .Being that we can already cut points on the align-rite
the learning curve was not that bad we did rewrite the program being a different machine after a few adjustments things were sailing right along.we did 4 fore-arms in just over 30 Min's flawlessly every one the same. We are in the process of a new program cutting that time in half with less movements.. we also used our new pendant it also preformed well
much easier then the key board or mouse .with this system not only can you do inlays but also now cut v points we are also offering a tech support

its a fair price for a package like this.as an example Bob cad support is ok but they have zero cuemaking knowlege.

Lee, thanks for letting me visit the shop today. That was the first time I had ever seen a Taig mill cut in points. I would think with that basic program and some thinking, six or eight points would be almost as easy. That new fixture of yours along with the Kress motor is what was needed to make the Taig cue ready. I can't wait to see the Kress cut out pockets for inlays.

Jim.

Looks like you could eliminate a ton of wasted movement in the program you have running there.
Need some editing. Too much cutting air I think.

Yea, there is alot of air. Since it is CNC edititing the program is easy. I wouldn't want to upset the wood gods though by cutting too fast. You gotta love your wood. I do think the point is that a relativley inexpensive cnc mill will cut points just as good as their larger brothers and maybe better than some. There are several cue makers out there that are already using this mill for cutting inlays. It would not be a stretch to cut points:D

Jim.

we rewrote this program from our align rite machine only as a test program
now that we see it cuts without issues we will write a program i think i already mentioned cutting the time in half at least.

LOOKS GOOD LEE. imo points are the most important thing in a cue. looks wise. if you have good points and make a decent playing cue your cues will sell. fat points almost touching and about 9 inches in legnth at final finished size

Or just edit the G-codes on notepad.
