New cnc just for making pins

A lot of people on here are going to want pantograph or hand cut pins because CNC is cheating.

Just kidding, best of luck.

this is a great example of our new 3/8-10 pin it was sent to me by someone asking for info so i thought i would post it picture is from bob at dz cues it explains how this style pin works our first run will be brass just like our 3/8-11 pin we have been making for the past 5 years will also off this in stainless once we get things running well. we just set a roperwerk cnc to run nothing but pins 11 thread 10 thread and 6 thread

if you have seen our 3/8-11 pins the 10 pin will look the same all thread but the tip has the smooth surface

So you are you saying the pin you are going to make is all thread, there is no alignment barrel like in the pic you posted?

If it's thread, I wouldn't want one.
I like one with a .370" alignment barrel and .360" undersized thread at the bottom. I can grind down the bottom threads if I have to, but I hate grinding glue channels.
Joey~Thinks alignment barrel and broached glue channel are a must for joint pins~

The pin on the right in the picture has a threaded portion on the other side of the barrel at the bottom of the pin.

Lee posted the picture as an example of his pin. Then, it looked like he said his pin was all thread. I was just trying to figure out if the pin in the picture on the right was the same type of pin Lee was going to make, or if the thread type/style was the only thing the same.

Wouldn't it be simpler for everyone, including yourself, to simply take a minute to post an image of EXACTLY what you are selling?

Would it also be possible to make a run of these with a shoulder?

Personal opinions will vary greatly. I personally like threaded all the way, everyday. Almost every screw was made threaded all the way first, including the radial. The barrel was added to make it easier for people, I don't like them at all.

I like it. I think it would help stiffen the hit which is the way I like to play. I used to square off my Taps (bottom Tap) so I can see where that would make for a nicer fit as well. The Radial however is still my choice which I believe Lee is making a version as well.:)

You are correct except that the original Radial Pin (tm) had a short barrel. It was later made longer which made it wonderful because we no longer had to try to locate on the threads which any machinist will tell you is not the best way. It did make life easier and cues more accurate, IMO.

There are many ways to install a pin.

3/8-10 stainless ready to run tomorrow
we ran some sample pins today and they look great!
