New cue from Mason

I picked up this cue from Mason

Played with it most of the night last night, and have to say it hits them sweet. Hard hit, but can move whitey around without any issue. If anything I have to adjust a little to not over spin the ball when shooting side spin shots. Cue looks great, rings match up nicely, shaft wood is great. Had a couple people wanting to buy it last night, and it was the first night I've had it.

Cue is balanced just about perfectly for me, and the harder hit is something I like in a cue.

MasonH Cue

Beautiful cue. I agree with your opinon on Mason's cues, they play good, quality workmanship. I bought one of Mason's cues also.

This is the third one I've had. The first one was the best playing cue I've ever owned. Don't remember why I sold it, other than I needed cash. This cue feels really great, and with some more playing time I'll form my opinion of where it ranks in the cues I've owned. Really really like it from the 8 hours or so of play yesterday.
 
Sweet looking MasonH cue, cubs. Congrats on snagging a wonderful looking player. Hope to hear that it ranks up there with the best you've played with. It certainly LOOKS the part, for damned sure!!

Will if I get over there tonight. Doubt I will though, wife said she's making steaks tonight.

Cue looks much better in person, wish I could take good pictures.

Oh I know. Last time I was there, there was a snow crab dinner made with very fresh crab, three layer cake, and some of that expensive imported small craft beer.

my wife and i walk around the house saying that all day any chance we get.i have to actually stop myself sometimes out in public from saying it out loud.love that show and it really is shocking how many chances you can actually get in a day to say,"that's what she said"

Firstly, that is one nice looking cue you got there!

Could you elaborate on what you meant by the hard hit? Were you referencing the stiffness of the shaft? Or something else? Maybe you could compare it to another cue's feel so I could understand better?

I have one of Mason's cues and I asked for his stiffest taper, I think he does a few different ones.

I have an African Blackwood cue, uncored, with his micarta ferrules and a hard tip. It is a very powerful hit. Full review is here:
