New design software WORKS AWESOME, check the pics

The problem is that I'm rendering in SolidWorks.... which is a CAD program I use frequently with work. Everything is vector, so there are no polygons. At some point is does a rasterization and converts the vector geometry to polygonal geometry to be ray traced. I was able to increase the segment size of the ring work, but it seems the helix still has a low number of segments. There might be a seperate setting for that, or it might just be a limitation of the program. I might play around with it this weekend if I find some free time.

I use several other packages, but I don't use solid works specifically, so I don't know their exact terminology, but look for setting in the rendering module saying something like "ridge height", or "chord height". These will control the quality/accuracy of the render.
