New equipment idea

To be honest, most shoe/athletic brands could make some collaborations or aesthetic aimed at pool and people would buy it. Wouldn't even need to have anything specific technically.

I used to work in the skateboard industry, and Nike, Adidas, NB etc have colonised that with collars and colourways. Putting actual brands owned by skateboarders into the gutter.
All it would take is for those brands to pick a player, make a colour way, and some of us idiots would buy it for sure.

As humans, we like when things pander to our carefully manicured 'identities' :ROFLMAO:

LOL! Rodney Morris plugged these for a spell. Must have sponsored him somehow. Not cheap.

I wish that page would load.
I love Finland.

I always hoped gloves would get better.

Disposable gloves are for medical people.

Sports athletes need charms that last. A good pair of gloves, there is a story for gloves in most professions and sports.

Dust free, cling free and whatever desirable property needed for pool.

Stop selling shoes lets sell pool chairs with wheels. Roller pool is for drinkers. You must stay seated.

I mean, that's because no one with genuine interest/knowledge of how to combine sales and creation is producing these goods... It's either fashion brands with no knowledge of the game, or pool aficionados with no knowledge of fashion. Generalised attempts have yielded shite product. I think a lot of the attempts by fashion brands over the years have been quite frankly shameful (minus a handful of limited run successes). They should really know how to hit an audience more effectively.

There are loads of collaboration or themed product, that would sell by the bucket load, but usually becomes collectible and small in production (Zippo lighters, some of the Joe Camel stuff... not that cigarettes collab with anything anymore... Stüssy...). The problem is... knowledgeable collaboration with a more specific audience is needed.

Even the marketing and branding currently in pool branded product (specifically for pool players) in general is weak. Cues, cloth, tables... it's all meh... It only works because the market is so fixed, and the standard of mediocrity firmly established.

Moose shoes fail in many areas, mostly because they try to be too specific, and don't really bring anything interesting or flavourful to the table. I am surprised why any number of athletic wear brands haven't picked a successful shoe from their collection, and made a version specifically for pool. An Adidas Samba, but themed for example...
In fact, brands are missing a huge trick. They could impact their existing demographic, and target new ones at the same time...

I like what livin-good ball club is producing, combining stylistic elements from other sub-culture with pool. I hope his brand takes off, because he makes interesting stuff, aimed at a set demographic.

Everyone who sees someone in a pool shirt.
Those turds make bowling shirts look like high fashion. There's a league team where i play that wears them. Its like they're auditioning for a re-make of Revenge of the Nerds. Bad enough on pros, really lame on a bunch of league dudes.

In my experience most of the people that wear them shirts can't play for shit.

"Oh pool shirt easy money" 🤣

I'm tired of all the black clothes pool players wear. It looks like they never wash clothes like a road player living out of a van. Look at the post #23. That is a nice bright colored jacket that could be used in pool wearables. Some nice polo shirts would be a welcome addition.

That jacket pic is from a Seinfeld episode iirc. I like the polo shirt. Tuff to go wrong. These bicycle racing jerseys they wear now are pretty bad.
