New Here? - Introduce Yourself

Hello everyone.

been lurking arround for 10-15yrs, thats how long i play. i am a B league player here in EU. I also attend some senior tournaments.
i play 2/3 times a week, for a good hour or two.
I play with a predator roadline sneaky and z2 shaft.

Thats about it. will be seing you arround

Back in the game! Picked up a used Olhausen after my daughter had a good time playing at a friend's recently. It didn't take a lot of convincing from her to get one. I grew up with one and sure do miss it. Still have my old cue from 25-30 years ago. I tackled the job of putting new Steel Grey Championship cloth on it. I figured that cloth deserved a new set Aramith Premier balls too. Fun project and it sure turned out well.

My demise has been greatly exaggerated.

Not new here, but I might as well say hi here after several years away. I responded to messages going back several years today. I have been in touch with a couple AZB people personally over the last few years. To everyone else, sorry if you felt ignored, life happens.

I'm Back.

Ben lurking for a while. Played several years as a kid in a local arcade in the 80s. Just recently started getting back into the game and have the bug to play as much as possible. I started shooting local 8 and 9 ball tournaments in the Richmond VA area in the past couple of months and am looking to learn how to improve to the next level.
Currently in the bag: all Mezz line up
Avant w/ignite 12.2
Msp2-p w/ignite 12.2
Powerbreak G

Greetings AZ's,

Been looking around here for years and finally decided to join. I have been getting more and more interested in every aspect of this great game(s). From cue construction to position play, everything is covered here in such detail, I get lost for hours. So much knowledge to soak up, looking forward to growing my understanding and meeting some fine people along the way!

Hello! I’m in Jackson, TN. I’m new here and new to pool as well. My wife grew up with a pool table but that was many years ago. Back in January we decided to get a pool table as part of a “preparing to retire” plan (that’s a great excuse). We got a 7 foot Legacy (all we had room for) and have really been enjoying it. I was a complete newbie to the sport so I’ve been learning a lot since January - including, it seems, a new language with words (pool terms) I’d never heard before. :) I’m glad to find this place where I can learn and enjoy.

Hi, I’m Dwight M., and I’ve had the privilege of taking over Cue Components from Joe Barringer. @Cue Components
Wish you success in your business if you manage differently than joe
Will you continue with the knock offs that cause confusion or not?

Thank you. Yes we definitely do. We have top notch service, no minimum orders , fair and transparent shipping prices.
We have some tips that are inspired by other tips. We will definitely do a better job distinguishing them.

HD from Ireland here. Been around a while — mostly because I’ve been restoring my 9ft Brunswick GC III. Grew up playing Snooker and English Pool, but I fell in love with American pool thanks to The Hustler, The Color of Money, and countless nights playing in bars and halls across the US.

Picked up the GC III over ten years ago after finding it tucked away in a bar here in Ireland. Fast forward to now — built a house with a room designed specifically to fit the 9-footer. Just wrapped up the restoration, and I’m back! grinding away and working on my game.

New here?
Introduce yourself, tell us where you hail from and a bit about yourself.
Hi there! I’m glad I found this group. I’m 71 years old, live outside of Portland ME and looking to acquire a reasonably priced 9 foot table to be used in my retirement years. My buddies and I all love to play pool. We are terrible at it, but we would love to get better. My wife loves to play as well. Right now. I’m focused on Brunswick and Olhausen tables because that seems to be the two that nobody can find a lot of fault with, but I would love to learn. I have a budget of $3000 or less to acquire a table and get it set up and I’d like to have the speed cloth too so whatever table we find has to be pretty inexpensive to start out with.

a goldcrown 1 or 2 should be in your budget to buy and fix up if necessary
