It's a decision made solely on basic economics, but I started playing in a different room this week - a room that only has, dare I say it, Diamond tables. It's tough for an old school Gold Crown guy like me, but the room I've always played out of just isn't worth it anymore. No daily rate, un-level tables (except for #1 which everyone always fights over), uneven rails, can't draw a rack line on the table, had to buy my own set of Centennials to play with a decent set, etc., etc.
So for the past 3 days I've played about 18 hours on a Diamond and today, after popping off a 54, I think I'm starting to get used to it. I'm still not a fan, but $24 in table time beats $54 for the same 18 hours any day.
