So today is the birthday of two players that played our local tournament last night. They ended up playing each other and one of them is a much better player than the other and when he took the other one out of the tournament, as he was leaving he told him "happy birthday" about ten minutes later, that guys girlfriend called the bar and asked to talk to the better player and considering it was 1am he thought something was serious so he hurried away from his match and she told him "I do not like or appreciate you telling him happy birthday, don't do it again". I could not believe she actually did this, ironically it had the opposite affect of what she was obviously looking for and he started playing better. Has anybody else ever seen something like this?

That just does not make sense to me, but it's not as bad as the young lady, that once I was down on the shot, walked behnd the pocket into which I was shooting the last ball before the 8 & lifted her dress up to her neck to reveal her totally naked body as she swayed her hips back & forth between her spread legs.

I was barely 22 years old. I missed the shot. I think that was the best sharking move I've ever seen or heard of because I did not even mind it or losing the $100.00. It was a lesson well taught & well learned.

Best Regards,

I must be slow... I don't understand the shark. Their game was already over?

That boy who's GF called will never live that down. Everyone will call him "happy birthday" from now on. Girl tried to make things better, but made them worse for him. lol.

I hope you worked on your fundamentals after that. Just imagine, if you could have pulled that shot off under those conditions, who knows how far you could have gone. A true professional wouldn't let something like that bother him.

All kidding aside, I wish the hell some well endowed female would pull something like that on me. With my luck, my ticker would probably give out.

At my age I would have paid $100 to see that.

If everyone is gonna call him that lets hope his real name isn't, "Shay Toomey."

Actually I think that was pretty cool of her. sounds like the happy birthday was kind a dick comment, why talk trash if you're already the better player and already won? So... she stuck up for her man. Goods on her. Too bad if it happened to shark that guy, but he opened that can of worms when he decided to rub it in.

That's interesting. I did not see it as rubbing it in as it was at least 10 minutes later. If so, then you are certainly correct. However, I would still not want anyone, I repeat anyone, taking up for me regarding this kind of situation. But...some women do love their men, vey much, and that's a good thing. I hope all 3 of them work it out.

Let me toss another great sharking tale in as a side note. My bro and I were playing and when our very cute waitress came over I told her he was having a tough night because he had just sent his live in packing that day, which was true. She told him she was sorry but was pretty much unfazed. A little while longer she came over and I mentioned we could only play another hour since he had something going on at work tomorrow, knowing she would ask where. His high profile job changed her tune from indifference to rubbing up against him like a cat etc. Done!!! He could not shoot a lick the rest of the night. It was the ultimate shark.

Best Regards,

Funny the same thing happened to me playing snooker, I was shooting the pink at the time but ending up potting the brown.

Same thing happened to me but unfortunately my opponent looked over at me talking into my cell phone and recognized my falsetto voice.
