Decided to let this one go, albeit with more than a tinge of regret.
It is a Randy Mobley cue, 4 points, (I believe) 8 veneers, lovely rich cocobolo into a straight grain maple forearm.
Elephant ear wrap
Ivory Hoppe ring
Notched ivory diamonds and dots in the butt sleeve and in the points.
Steel lined ivory 5/16x14 piloted joint, the shafts fit like gloves
2 x 13mm ivory ferruled shafts
Weight is right around 19oz, with butt 15 and shafts 4 (I will get precise numbers and update this soon)
Comes with a full set of matching JPs with ivory discs on top.
Butt and shafts are both 29" in length, and the cue has a nice forward balance.
Lovely "ping" to the hit and great resonance and feedback through the cue.
The cue was unhit when it came to me, and now there is perhaps 4 or 5 hours of play on one shaft. There is one flea bite in the buttsleeve which happened during transit to me, aside from that, the cue is perfect.
Price is $4950, this includes insured shipping, paypal fees and a black leather Whitten 1x2 case.
I am not really looking for trades, but if someone has a Tim Scruggs 4pt 4 veneer hoppe style cue with piloted joint then that would be considered.
