New Mandrels for Saws

Got mine a little while back. They work like a charm once you get everything set up right. Best I've got them set up I wasted .003 plus the blade thickness.
Awesome product!!

.003" isn't bad but you're still binding the blade a little. Since it's solid carbide, it doesn't flex so it's cutting more than IT'S width. A good set-up has :

1.) the mandrel spinning true in the router.
2.) the compound advancing the blade truly parallel to the cross-slide and true perpendicular to the center-line of the spindle of the lathe.
3.) the spindle of the router on level with the lathe's bed/ways. That should also be on level or true to the center-line of the lathe's spindle.

I guess I've gotten lucky. I'm over-cutting by .001/.0015" from DNP.

Thanx Again to all for the support. I do hope these help you do a tricky task easier and better.

Hill Cues,
Thanx for the pic. That's one impressive set-up. An 'Aloris' quick change tool-post to boot. Man, now I'm jealous.
The truer the set-up, the thinner the rings you can cut. I'm very glad that you like the tooling. Thank you again for your recent purchase. It's been my great pleasure to offer the saws & mandrels to my fellow AZers.

Just sent you an order for one, KJ.
Been using a 1/8" shank dremel tool.
Now I need to tool up for a 1/4" shank cutter.
Should be a lot more accurate and less vibration.

Hello KJ,

Brent Hartman recommeded I buy one of your cutters. Matter of fact I also just tipped one of your cues yesterday. Is your address for payment still correct? I will shoot you a paypal for 1 mandrel & 2 blades.

Thanks, Dan O'Brien
