Howdy folks.....My name is Dan. I just finished reading Joeys thread on membership and lurkers so i took his advice and posted a new member thread. I am 60 yrs old and have been playing 40 + years. I play mostly BB 8 ball in leagues. I'm not much of a gambler and I have no " war storys " about life on the road as a hustler. What I do have......is an undying love for the games of pool. YES....I have joined here as a dues paying member......didn't take me long to realize that this site was what I had been searching for to satisfy the hunger for pool knowledge. I hope to meet some of you in person one day.....but untill then, I will be a virtual presence here.

Howdy Dan, welcome aboard. The folks here are very nice, and I must say, in all candor, the punch and cookies they serve on Tuesday afternoons is well worth the membership fee.
 
The punch is fine but don't drink the Koolaid! Welcome!!! Anything you could ever want to learn about pool is contained in this forum.
 
This is a fine place to talk pool. Lots of good and knowledgeable people. Welcome.
 
Lots of great reading and some pretty funny stuff here for us old timers.

Of course the youngsters don't get the jokes... just like everywhere else.

But we all share the love of the game.
