New Meucci Shaft info wanted

If the pin is 3/8-10...actually Meucci has a more consistant pin size and collar size than a McDermott. The diameter of the older McDermott Collars are all so different.

I have McDermotts going all the way back to 1975 (first production year) and up into the 90's, and their shafts all interchange perfectly, pins and diameters are exactly the same and they screw on straight.

Meucci has been far from consistent in this matter.

I find that hard to believe. The collar diameters are from .835-.875. The McDermotts weren't made to be interchangable. Each shaft was made for one particular matching butt. If you got lucky, you'd be able to interchange it.

Almost all the Meucci cues are around .820 within .005 of an inch except for the newer cues made or the oddball cues. The collars are around .830-.835 on them.

Apparently I am lucky then. :)

I have MR(A), B, C, and D series that are all perfectly interchangeable.

If you wanna try the new shaft on your current Meucci without going full bore on the full pro cue, I can get you one or put one on a regular Meucci cue.

Meucci pro series

Meucci pro series are fine to use for the game. It has good review and hits the finest shots in the game. So, you should go for the cue.

To his credit, Bob sent me two shafts for my trouble that were perfectly matched to the butt. I don't recall ever having a cue vanish in my hands like this one. My GF, who is a pretty decent player herself is ticked because she's tired of getting beat since I got the cue back. Both shafts are beautiful. I am a happy customer!

I have a Meucci PRO shaft that I use on a McDermott RS-11 butt and it beats my Predator shaft in my opinion.

I put a milk dud on it last Saturday and shot with it on Sunday and was shooting lights out. I was running balls left and right and managed to get a 5-pack playing 9-ball. It would have been a 6-pack or more except for I made the 9 on the break on the 6th rack and parked the cue ball in the center and a flying ball knocked it in the side for a scratch.

I had several 2 and 3 rack runs after that.

I hope to try it out again tomorrow.

Aloha.
