New Paul Mottey for sale

Seems Like Your Listing Is Being Questioned?

It appears that your listing is coming under some scrutinization which certainly seems warranted given some of the background information. But there always a possibility that's the baby can get tossed out with the bath water and that wouldn't be good. A more direct question might help your selling opportunity.

If any interested forum member wanted to transact business with you on this particular Mottey cue, to improve the likelihood of a sale, and also pre-emptively address any prospective buyer's reservations about your seller status, are you willing to complete the sale using a reputable
3rd party escrow agent, such as Marcus Solt (aka fastneasy on AZ Forum)?

Whos fastneasy?

FastnEasy

Fastneasy is a forum member that provides an escrow service for cue sales. He's a prominent member of the forum and there's lots of postings by him since he buys & sells cues as well. He's a standup guy and is both senior forum members & forum moderators endorse using his escrow, or some equivalent escow provider, on expensive cues sales, or any sale for that matter where the buyer had some reticience to send money to the seller to await the shipment of the cue afterwards.

Using an escorw service confirms to the buyer that the cue actually exists and has been received at the escrow agent's location. The buyer doesn't have to keep their fingers crossed, especially when a couple of thousand dollars is involved. Sellers that resist escrow, especially if the buyer is willing to pay for it, should be avoided because there shouldn't be anything to fear by simply having someone else act as an intermediary. Escorw becomes imperative when dealing with a seller out of the country or very distant from the buyer.

Sellers that protest over using escrow and reply back bragging & boasting about their great track record as a seller, years of doing business, etc. could be true....but what's to fear by simply having someone else act as a confirming intermediary.....if a seller resists escrow, you're better off finding another seller....no cue is worth the risk of becoming a fraud victim which very little hope of ever recovering one's hard earned money, or else winding up with a cue that isn't as advertised.

Honest sellers & honest buyers have nothing to be concerned about using escrow.....remember that you never spot larcency until you're experiencing it firsthand. That's why the AZ forum recommends and endorses using escrow because of the potential. ultimate risks involved between a seller and a buyer, especially regarding cue defects being not being revealed by the seller in their description of the cue they have for sale.

Soooo.....remember to do business with people that have nothing to fear and you'l have nothing to fear doing business with them.

Do You Own The Cue?

Unless you own the cue, stay in the background....what's the problem with asking or even insisting on escrow....and a undercapitalized, mispelled, or otherwise erroneously referred to handle of a forum member that provides a reliable escrow service doesn't diminish in any way the significance of asking or even insisting on escrow. On the top of the opening page of the Forum's "Wanted To Buy Section" there's a heading all about escrow and the importance of using escrow is underscored and endorsed...........NUF SED AMIGO!

So you think he still has this cue 5 years later?

None of us own the cue! In fact the guy who posted it 6 years ago probably doesn't own the damn cue!
