New personal "high" break

Made 58 today, during a league-match ;)

My previous break was 49, made a couple of years ago. I made 49 two weeks ago also, and came out of position. This time, on 58 I missed an easy red on an open table with 5 more reds, so it could (and should) have been waaaaay more than 58...

Anyway, excited to made a new personal break record, so just wanted to post it here ;)
 
Well done! I beat my high break of 35 by one point on Monday! It's frustrating sometimes I'm playing the best I ever have and if I get a really good chance I know I'll get a high one, but I haven't been getting the chances! Again, congrats!
 
I've only played snooker a few times and the guys I have played with always seem to try to leave the cue ball behind the 2-3-4. What type of break do you use that you have the opportunity too run that # of balls?
 
you don't have to do it off the inital break off. if you're left behind the baulk colors, you have to either maybe go for a long pot, play a safety or better yet a shot to nothing. get your opponent to make the first mistake and leave you in the balls and then you can make your break.
 
well done. i beat mine on friday, then beat it the next match. 44 then 46
