New pool table finally !

Ok so it's not really NEW, but it's new to me and in good shape. This is the first time I've ever had a pool table in my own place before. I could only get an 8' to fit. 9 was too big. It's now in the living room. Cant really live in any room without a pool table in my opinion ;). At least I can shoot whenever I want now. My arm feels like it's going to fall off after shooting a total of 26 hours since it was installed Friday afternoon.

Thanks for those who suggested Robin Pigg for the Charlotte, NC area. He did an incredible job. He even went out of the way to re-glue and re-cut the pre-existing rails properly. I would recommend him to anyone in charlotte, NC area. Whoever had the table before didnt have it installed properly. Fortunately the rails were still in perfect condition. It rolls perfectly and plays perfectly. It's a leisure bay table I've never heard of but plays excellent. It was also free :p with an interesting story behind it and why he chose to give it to me. I'm excited.

Now I'll just go play on 9's on nights they're not so packed and my 8 when it is packed or closed.
 
I still like both of them a lot. My girlfriend has pretty much claimed the gambler 2. I've been using the originals RA nonstop and like it really well. Robin, the guy who installed the table, brought 2 of Jeff Olney's first cues that he made and let me hit with one of them and they play amazing. That was the first custom cue I didnt want to throw in the trash. I ran a couple of racks out with it with no problem. It felt great. Its always nice to hear old stories about things pool related.
 
Hows the playing room from the wall? It looks kinda tight, like if you have the cb frozen on the side rail can you still shoot without bumping into the wall?

Charlie: It is indeed tight but I can shoot from the wall if frozen on the rail if I elevate my cue a few inches. That's with a 58" cue. It's barely enough room to play comfortably but the side rails dont hinder much at all.

I have enough space to shoot on my table, but when I take pictures of it, it looks crammed. It's just the angle and our eyes that's all.

Its just something bout that light blue cloth that sends the blood to certain places.... Looks great man!!!! I am envious!
 
Very nice looking table and good to hear Robin got the install job. Looks like it's in the dining area so I wanted to pass on that Eclipse
makes inserts to fit the playing surface and fitted covers for the table - add a dinner table cloth and you have an instant "large" dining room table.

Thanks all. Yea it's in the living room / dining room area. We never really used it anyway. We just watch tv and eat in the other room with the other reclining couch.

I would never ever ever never let anyone eat on my pool table covered with anything. I want to keep it completely level and in good condition :D. Thanks for the suggestion though.

With company over we just had people sit at the bar and on the loveseat. Plenty of room for 6.
 
In the tiny country where I come from, not many people can have the luxury and space to accomodate a pool table in our miserable flats 789 feet or whatever..I can understand the excitement, when my 9footer arrived, some of us were discussing whether to eat on it or not, I almost wanted to sleep on it the very first night. Open sleeping ceremony. You people are really fortunate.
