Hi guys, been readin the forums as a non-member for quite a while now. tot now would be a good time to make my first post. :)

Some pics of my new prewitt which i got from martin (jazznpool). Great guy to deal with, and top notch service... :)

Was a little tentative about paying so much for a "plain" cue, but no regrets now!

Decoration means little, When you pick up a cue and run a rack because it feels right to you. Chris.

Thanks guys... :D Its only about 18.5oz but it has a lot of power. Nice feedback as well.

Chris, i couldnt agree more.

Gerald, its a leather wrap. Here's a closeup pic.

Hey thanks for the good feedback guys! I'm glad you guys appreciate EP's level of quality. Justin, it sounds like you might be one of the few Prewitt cue owners in your area...in time I hope that will change.:) The ivory buttcap and the fancy joint protectors were nice touches on that birdseye cue of yours. I also like the way the Tiger pigskin wrap coordinates in color with the unstained birdseye.

By the way, I'm looking forward to having a Prewitt cue to play with too--hopefully by the end of the year.

Martin

H.S.I.O.W., Thanks. The 1st photo of the wrap looked much lighter than the close up. It closely resembled a cork wrap Ernie G. did for a friend of mine.

Gerald, think it wld be easier for you to call me justin... just realised how annoying it is to type H.S.I.O.W.... not very bright of me. :p

anyway the color is somewhat in between... for some reason it varies greatly depending on the lighting. the closeup looks darker because i was inadvertently blocking out the light while taking the pic. when martin first sent me pics the wrap looked orangey-brown... the photo is still on martin's site.

anyway martin, i will be looking forward to seeing your prewitt at the end of the year... care to clue us in on what its going to look like? ;)

Glad that you noticed the difficulty Justin. The cue is stunning just like all of Ed's work seems to be. His rings take his cues out of the realm of plain janes. I see examples of his excellent workmanship at Hard Times all the time. I've only met Martin once but all the feedback I hear about him is positive. He might even show up Sat for the monthly One Pocket tournament.

Justin, I gave Ed a piece of super-figured birdseye bocote for the forearm. It will have 4 ebony points wiith black, bright red, blue, and white veneers. It will have ivory joint, black pigskin wrap, decor in the points and at buttsleeve. Besides the weight (19.0) and shaft size (12.9-13.0mm), I am leaving the decoration more or less up to Ed. He knows I like classic style and paua shell inlays. The decor will be a surprise.

Hey Gerald, you get your Joey cue yet? I hope to make to HTB this Saturday for 1 pocket...ain't been playing much though. I hope all is well.

Martin

I hope to make it there too.
I might have 2 to 3 stix I will let you test hit. :)

This is birdseye isn't it? Believe it or not, I actually like this cue. The leather wrap and the rings, just set this thing off! I'm not the biggest "all-maple-plain-jane" fan, but this cue actually looks really nice. I'm sure the playability is a no brainer.:p

Justin,
Congratulations on your new cue. Ed Pewitt is a fantastic cuemaker. Those rings are impressive. Everything silver on Ed's cues is sterling.
