This is a Real Diamond Back Rattle Snake Skin Wrap. Inspired by gun grips I use to make in my custom gun shop.

Only pretenders shoot Para's....get a real 1911 & ditch the double stack.:D How do you like the power extractor?
p.s./ In case you are unaware Sterling sells a cue that looks exactly like that...complete with snakeskin wrap & white buttcap. Take a look www.sterling-gaming.com its the Sierra line....cue called "Cherokee" SICHER.
Edited to add: the current pic on the website does not show the snakeskin wrap though I have seen them in dealer cases. Also their catalog shows one with the wrap as well.

I will have to get my new sterling catalog and check it out. The BEM is pretty crappy on this on purpose it was a grade I was willing to sacrafice if I decided to cut the cue up. I have on lady that really wants it i told here I can remake one and she insist she wants this one. I plan on makeing another except I am thinking using straight grain maple and I have some miniture branding irons, maybe branding the forearm and buttsleeve with the various brands.

Oh and BTW your right I used that Para for USPSA Limited Competition shooting. It did ok but I had a tendency to stove pipe until I overhualed it in the shop. The springfield below is my current Limited. The I have a STI I built for a Open Gun. Now here is my opinions on 1911 pistols.

Para = Novelty 1911
Colt = Just a over priced sloppy tolerance paper weight. The old colts were fine 70 series
Kimber = Excellent shooters Not worth the $ they want
Springfield = All around great gun exceelnt shooters out of the box
Les Baer = Love em super tight and worth the money
STI / SVI = Out of thier shops they are great.
I use to do 1911 builds and gunsmithing full time

Ok enough of this. This is not a 1911 forum its a cue forum :) :D :D :D

Looks nice, I like the wrap!! Was this the cue that you christened the new spray booth with?

oooh gun talk

Hey, I'd be interested in a Para if you're getting rid of them. :)
But I do love my custom John Jardine Springfield.

Beautiful snake skin wrap BTW.

Ding, ding, ding........

Cuemaker03 is the winner. Seecamp was the first to upgrade the 1911 to DA !!!! This one was done in the early 70's.

:)

We the cues are sweet but your choice of guns is sub par.:D You need to get a GLOCK and be done with it,these guns are indestructible and while not flashy they do their job exceptionally well like a good cue. I will only own Glocks and I will never get rid of my Thompson or my AR-15.

competition .45ACP

This is something I have for long time. I used to be a competition shooter:D. That was many moon light ago..:)

I am a Glock Factory Certified Armorer however Glocks are almost indestructible. They are not indestructible, there have been a couple bad apples. I have seen first hand. Though they are few, they are out there. I own about 7 different models of glock 10 in all 4 are glock model 22. .40cals are great the other 6 models are not duplicates. However i would not trade my springfield or STI for any glock any day. They have been totally rebuilt for reliability and accuracy. Thats the only reason though. No mistake about it though I would NOT sell my glocks unless i was in a bad pinch.

Glcoks are good too..

I like the Glock 15 with night sight. Compack and nice to handle.
