I don't know if it's been mentioned here or not, but I haven't seen it if it has, but just in case...
A new room opening in The Denver Area (Arvada). Mile High Billiards. As I understand it, it's scheduled to open in early November. Nice location, in a sort of a strip mall. The owner is a pool player, pretty decent local local player and a good guy so that should be a big plus. I don't find a web page yet but I do see it on Facebook. Really looking forward to it. Come on out and spend money...

Sounds good. Who is the owner?

I tried to go and spend money there this weekend.. No luck, as they are not open quite yet.. I had to drive another 15 minutes to Felt's instead..

The owner called me abck after I left a message asking if they were open. Seemed like a good guy... He says they plan to have lots of tourneys there..

By the time it opens, I will have my Diamond at home as well.. :-)

The owners name is Greg Kingsbury, he is a nice guy. Mile High Billiards is located at 11651 w. 64th ave, Arvada CO. Sounds like it is going to be a nice place.

I heard that they won't be serving food, but they have a deal with a Pizza place and a Mexican place in the same complex. Sounds like it could be a winner

Perfect!!! That's my side of town. I can't wait to hear what kind of tables they will have.

Thanks for the word I have a diamond myself a nine footer but I don't get to play on the seven footers very much that would be fun.

Hmm... sounds like it would be open by the time I go out there for my usual annual spend-the-holidays-with-my-folks jaunt!

Need to "rack up" the list of folks to get together with, to hit some...

sfleinen, et al..

I will gladly play all visitors, with me getting the appropriate weight, of course..

Sean, I can never tell if I can get down the hill or not during the ski season. I am on call 24/7 during the winter and I think I missed you a few years ago because of a storm.
I will give it my best try to get to Denver this year but I cant promise for sure.

If I do get down there you will have to play with the cue of my choice and you must also have the flu as a handy-cap:wink:.

There are several guys on the forum who might give you a run for your money in straights. Watch out for ShortBusRuss, he's new to the area so I have not clocked his speed yet. I do know he is always asking for weight :grin-square:

J/K SBR and welcome to the Rocky mountains!

Call me for straight pool.
But Felt would be better for big tables.

I think I remember Greg telling me something like two 9 footers, and the rest will be 7 footers. All diamonds. Looking forward to it as Felt is just too much of a drive to make 2-3 days a week to get into any kind of a practice routine, and I can't play the Sunday tournaments at Felt BECAUSE THATS BRONCOS DAY!
Be nice to have some big tables close to home again cause Tokyo-Dave is comin back! (After football season of course)

I live 10 minutes from Greg's new room.So if you want to beat me up practicing I'm close and up for it.
You gonna hit with the "Sugah" ?

I don't go nowhere w'out sum shugga! Yeah, let's hit some. Seriously looking forward to get back to playin regular again. Out of town jobs are done, and life is slowly returning to normal again. Now if I could only find a better paying job! Been trying to climb a rung less ladder for too long now!

I heard their going to have 4 9footers. Wrong side of town for me I live 5 minuets from Felt. Still gonna scope it out though.

If you want we can pick 1 week night a week and butt heads for 3 or 4 hours and I will get you back in stroke. I will turn the shugga sour if you dog it

I actually like that idea. And if you're good with it, we can play straight pool. I've always wanted to play a little more straight pool but it's hard to defined anybody that wants to play.
