Listen up DC/MD/VA folks! I’m trying to help out my friend, Leon Sly, one of the best Custom Cue Makers here on AZBilliards. I now have the demo cue, a dark cocobolo Sneaky Pete with a single prong design in the butt cap. It's available for a hands-on demo. See the pictures below.

Your friend is onto something with that original design butt cap! It looks very nice indeed . I wonder if he would make short ivory points in the forearm to really set it off?
 
The prong design is black boars deal but yea indeed looks good glws friend
 
It is a sweet Black Boar tribute then! Leon does nice work and makes it possible for us to afford the look of expensive cues! I seen a lot of Szamboti Tributes from him as well, we are lucky...

Butt Cap not original design , nor Black Boar. I believe Crown Cue use this design before the others two.

But I think these cue look awesome.

I'm pretty sure Sly can do that and more...you should check out his Szamboti Tribute Cue on his website at Slycustomcues.com.

Sly told me that he contacted Tony (from BB) first before doing anything using the prong design. Tony didn't mind at all, and that's why Sly is producing these new cues. Sly also told me that someone else told him, that someone came up with this prong type butt cap before Tony started using it. Perhaps Crown Cue gets credit with the "original prong design".

I see a difference where Tony's points are thinner and his designs are very elegant. Sly's points are shorter and wider.

Why should it matter what designs someone wants in a cue ? Go back over years and years of cuemakeing theres alot of same designs out there of even top cuemakers repeating or copying ,,Its not like Sly is the only one to use designs that were in Szamboti cues or a crown butt cap that other used as well. What about Dan Decola useing a crown butt cap as well ? They even put thier own little spin onto things to make them alittle different ,,,You see cue makers everyday useing a Szamboti style ringwork and yet nothing said. Then you can always count on the few to look at whatver cue Sly puts pictures up of to start knocking something :rolleyes: ,<<< ED

yes you're right and i've also seen many other (szam tributes) by other makers...so get to the point ron!!!!..what are you trying to say???

This Bocote cue is off the hook, sick piece of wood. I see one in my future ;)

My experience with getting to know Leon and picking up several of his cues as my players has been an absolute pleasure. Sly is the real deal and those of us who own and play with a "SLY", know exactly what I'm saying!

Do your self a flavor and choice your favor :D..this guy knows how to build cues

Demo cue

If anyone wants to try out the demo cue, I will bring it to league tonight at Fairfax Fast Eddies (Thursday 10/31).
