These cues arrived yesterday, and I had to take the afternoon off to try them out. I had a pretty good idea how they were going to play because I hit with Dale's-(aka snowmon34) new sneaky Wednesday night. The hit from cue to cue seems to be very consistent, and it didn't take long to get used to them. I made the first shot, a long straight in 9-ball without even thinking.

I would like to thank Jamie-The Worminator for taking the time to work with me on this deal, and we were able to get everything done thanks to Fed-X, before he left for Valley Forge. I would also like to thank snowmon34 and Fatboy for convincing me that I had to have a Sugartree. I was more than willing to wait my turn to come up on Eric's list to build a custom, but Dale gave me the heads up to call Jamie, then I got caught up in the moment and ordered the sneaky to go along with the 8-pointer. All of the shafts are interchangeable, and everything is dead straight. Eric Crisp is a very fine cuebuilder, and these cues have a very firm, unique hit, but I wouldn't call it a stiff hit.

Thanks pooldogue, I see that you have a Sugartree also. I think that another way to describe the hit is accurate. I matched the Sneaky up with an OB-1 shaft and JMO it didn't seem as crisp, no pun intended.

Eric's cues are point and shoot, very nice pickup!!

Scalping

I really love the look of that SCALPING...

That's the main reason I picked this cue over the others. There was a redwood burl cue with a wrap available, but I changed my mind because I liked the "scalping" around the handle, and I wanted a nice wrapless cue, most of my cues have wraps

Wow! I have never....

seen a scalloped look like that one. Would it be redundant to call these some Sweet Sugartrees?

Nice!
