New tip Miscue problem

I have always shot with a Kamui Medium(brown) or Moori Medium. I just replaced my tip after a year of GREAT shooting with my last I replaced it with a Moori Medium reluctantly :(

I have done nothing but miscue anytime i put a decent amount of english on the ball. I have lost confidence in my stroke because im scared to miscue! I have never had this much bad mojo with any other tip. It is not me or my stroke.. I have another cue with the same generation 314 shaft, butt weight and balance point and I have no problems with it.

Is there such a thing as a bad tip? Could it have gotten too dry? (its a newer Moori BTW) :confused:
 
Just change the tip, it can be a bad one, can be a good one - doesn´t matter because you don´t trust it anymore.

Ever since the Moori tips have been bubble packaged, I have found the Soft is equivalent to the previous Medium that came in a tin. Stated differently, the current Mediums are too hard for me and not to my liking. And yes, ocassionally I will have a new Moori that just doesn't have the resilience or chalk holding ability they usually have...I try removing a layer and if that doesn't work I cut it off and put another on.
