New to me Southwest

Hi Folks, I thought I would share this one....

It came to me last Friday, delivered by a good friend from Germany...

It is Purpleheart into Pau Ferrao(sp?) with natural and black veneers. Unusually for a Southwest it is my ideal playing weight at 18.8oz. It was originally ordered with a special long taper on the shafts, this was confirmed to the previous owner by Laurie. the tips are both 12.57mm again, perfect for playability. Just not sure I can bring myself to swap from my Mobley hahah!!

This cue may be something I am selling in the coming weeks if I do not shift any of the other cues I have listed....I will keep you posted

What do you think guys and gals :)

I have read a few times that Jerry Franklin's favourite wood was Pau Ferrao, it definitely has that Southwest "pinggggg" :)

The wrap was installed and JPs made by an excellent German cuemake called Cem. His finish and attention to detail are outstanding!! Did a great job on this wrap!!
 
Hey Grant. Glad u like the cue. I m happy that the SW is in good hands now , otherwise i hadn t Sold it :-)
And yes , cem makes awesome work , will neeever sell my breakcue from him

Nice southwest but personally I won't trade a Mobley for Southwest...just me.
 
Hmm,I feel just the opposite,I wouldn't trade a Mobley for a South West,they were making cue's long before Randy.:wink:To the OP,nice cue you have,very rare to have Ivory ferrulles.

I am not trading my Mobley for anything buddy, don't worry about that ;) Just saying how nice this cue plays, it tempts me to put the Mobley away in the case and use this as my regular player. I think with a bit of practise, it might suit me even better than the Mobley!!

(still not selling or trading the Mobley though LOL)

My Mobley is more like a SW. Your SouthWest is awesome.. :)
