The Golden Fleece in Kenmore is a great room full of pristine Diamond tables you should definitely visit. The Parlor Billiards in downtown Bellevue is also quite a place to check out with probably 30 9' GC5's and another 20 8' GC metros. They also have a few barboxes as well from what I remember.

Jillian's near downtown Seattle and The Garage in Capitol Hill are also some nice establishments with multiple floors you should visit if you are in that area.

There are a lot of little sports bars and places located more north throughout Kirkland, Redmond and Bellevue if you are close. I'm not sure how many rooms there are in Bothell but there is a fun little sports bar in Bellevue called The Mustard Seed II you should check out. Most of the bars in the area have 8ft tables as well. Kind of odd I know but that is the norm up there.

Good luck in your search, I lived in Seattle for 6 years and really enjoyed my time there. With all of the rain there is plenty of time to play pool and meet new people.

cheers,

Isaac

So where at is a little bit north,,,,,some people consider me a little bit north of seattle and I live on Whidbey Island which is almost two hours away.

The GoldenFleece in Kenmoore is the place to go to from what I hear.

For tournament listings and general pool information for the area, go to onthebreaknews and look at there paper online.

Golden Fleece hands down

If you want to see the players and action in Seattle, you have to go to the Fleece. I lived there 10 years and left during the Dr. Cues close down and Fleece opening. The only real action I ever saw was at those two places since I missed the famous 211.

I live in Mt Vernon i just got here yesterday from Fort Worth TX. I used to drive 60 miles to Rusty's Billiards so I don't mind a drive though a place closer would be nice.

If you live in Mount vernon, come and drive down to the American Legion in Oak harbor tonight for a pool tournament that starts at 7:30. Its on 8 foot bar boxes, but I can introduce you to some of the locals that put on the tournaments in the area. Its about a 30 minute drive but there is nothing closer going on in the Mt. Vernon area on a friday night. I can sit hear and email you all the information but just give me a call. I pm'd my cell to you.

I live in ClearLake...which is on the backside of Mt Vernon. You will find that most all the taverns here have 8ft bar boxes, most of them are Valleys. There is no poolhall here anymore, however there is almost always some sort of league running. The men's league should be winding down, the womens is done as is the BCA 9 Ball league. There will be a Jack and Jill league starting up fairly shortly, so if you're interested, give me a call. I'll PM you my number.

Okay...the local stuff...typically, there is a weekly 8 Ball tourney at Dusty's in Sedro Woolley on Monday nights. There is also a weekly 9 Ball tourney at Dusty's as well...has been on Thursday nights, but may be switching to Wednesdays due to Jack and Jill league runs on Thursday nights. Give them a call: 360-855-2263. Sedro Woolley is also close to Mt Vernon via SR9 through ClearLake. Moe's also used to have a 9 Ball tourney on Sunday's, but I am so out of the loop these days due to working nights most of the week and not being able to get out and play like I used to. When you're ready to venture a little bit further, there is a fun little 8 Ball tourney on Sunday nights up in Alger...some good shooters there and at Dusty's. If you really want the action, you'll have to go down to the Fleece in Kenmore.

I hope some of this helps!

If you care to venture south of Seattle...

about 30 miles south is Malarkey's (formerly City Lights). Lots of action. Lately, north end players have been making the trip down for the action.

Also about Malarky's, the room owner is having the Gold Crown(cant remember the series) tables reconditioned by RKC and I stopped in there last Friday while RKC was doing there second table, just amazing what that guy can do. Wish I lived closer.

IMHO the room owner made a very wise business decision having RKC refurbish the tables because it should draw a lot of players. Also, IMHO the players should appreciate the owner for making that decision because it has to be pretty damn costly to have this done to improve the playing conditions.

I would just like to say to the owner, thanks for being an owner that cares about the quality of the tables.

thanks

i am looking forward to exploring the new places and meeting new people
i will more than likely start looking around next week after 2600 miles in a car i need rest thanks for all the info

I don't blame you one bit for needing the rest, 2600 miles is a little bit of a trip. If you end up going to one of the local tournaments in Sedro Wooley, or Algers then I'm sure I will run into you sooner or later in the area. I look forward to meeting you and I dont know where my manners went too for not saying this earlier,,, Welcome to the Pacific Northwest.

If you like action

There are 2 players rooms:Golden Fleece,Diamond tables;Malarky's,Gold Crowns. Both rooms have plenty of action.TGF has a friday night tourney.Malarky's has a wed and friday tourney with a BB tourney on sundays.
