We took a trip starting in Portland Or, and ended up in San Francisco....of course we stopped off for a stay in a beautiful little town called Willow Creek Ca. The town has a population of around 1500 people. It was very neatly tucked into the side of a mountain, and it was ever so charming. In the middle of this delightful town was Pete and Joannas bar, which had 4 pool tables and petes workshop in the back. It was a wonderful trip, and we had a great time with Pete, Joanna, and there son Arthur.

And of course Willow Creek is the home of the Bigfoot museum...just tooo cool.

Here is Pete working on my new Hoppe cue

Thanks Steve. I've wanted to get up to his place for some time now. Pretty good trout fishing along the river there. This is a pic of a Tonkin cue I have. I believe this was his first cue where he used silver veneers. Very happy with it. Great cue maker IMO and so modest a person.

Mr. & Mrs. Tonkin are super " HUMBLE AND NICE " people  Pete make some beautiful cues...

Looks like a wonderful trip! Post some close up pic's of those beauties when you get a minute . I have a cue that should be getting pretty close, coming from Pete through Jamie, should be pretty sweet but nothing compared to the monsters you posted.

Always enjoy seeing pic's of great cues and glad you continue to share them with us!

somebodies gonna have to teach Arthur how to better proportion his hands when a guy is taking pictures of a cue!

Cool pics Steve

Forearm teaser

Steve did you happen to see it taking shape when you were there?

Pete is a super nice guy. He's definitely the hottest sorta new cuemaker on the planet. The quality of his work is off the charts.

I was in his part of the country last summer. Sure wish l could've stopped by his shop.

Congrats on your newest acquisitions,
JimmyK

Steve,

It looks like you had a wonderful trip to California!

Great location, northern California........

Great cues, world class certainly............Pete is a magician on the equipment........

And to meet a family called the Tonkins who are just simply hard to beat: Friendly, sincere and family-oriented. A great, great, great family!

The 3-way potion makes for a wonderful experience!

Glad you had a nice trip, and thanks for the pictures!

Hey

Looks great Steve... How was pebble beach?

Me, Liz and my friend Roger were driving the 17 mile stretch and we found ourselves back by Pebble Beach entrance. So of course we went in and asked at the gate if they had a nice resteraunt....duh. We ate at the downstairs, and it was fantastic. we hung out at the same table for about 4 hours. Just an amazing place to see.
