Dear Billiards Community:

A new USBA webpage (same address: www.usba.net) has been launched. We’ve gotten the basic infrastructure in place and will be finishing construction and adding new features in the coming weeks. The tournament page is functioning fully, but we are still working on the functionality of some other components. We should start posting new stories about current events in the next week

If anyone needs to renew a membership (or if anyone wishes to join), send me an email at president@usba.net, and I’ll make certain that your inquiry is processed accordingly.

If anyone wishes to buy Simonis cloth, Aramith balls or Tiger cues, send an email to president@usba.net or, for more directly help, call Mazin Shooni at 248 910 4466. He’ll take care or your needs.

The new webpage has taken a lot of time and effort. It’s not perfect, but we will be working on it. Suggestions are always appreciated. You can post these on the USBA forum if you are a member. We have spoken to a few members who have experienced some difficulty viewing the webpage. We are working through this issue. We think it occurs with outdated versions of Internet Explorer. If you use another browser and still have trouble viewing the page, please contact me at president@usba.net.

Just so everyone knows, Mazin Shooni is EXTREMELY passionate about helping people in billiards in all aspects. One of the nicest people I have ever spoken to. If he can't help you, he will surely send you in the right direction. I hope 3 cushion billiards becomes as popular in America as it is everywhere else.

Very nice new website. I checked it yesterday and was surprised at the change. And yes, I hope to see 3c grow in popularity as well... All improvements have an impact.
Thanks for all your efforts for the new site and all of those like Mr. Shooni who continue to promote the game. All of the billiards community greatly appreciates it!

8 months to finally be able to view the USBA Public Forum. Only to see all the old/original Threads/Posts missing. USBA website is a work in project...

And you can say the same of Andy!

Just wish we didn't have to put up with all the negative comments from this idiot, specially when is a work in progress. Keep it going, Andy... it's looking very nice and most of us appreciate the work and effort.

Causing someone to respond to the tenor of your criticisms advances improvements to the new USBA website how?

Or am I pressuming too much about you wanting improvements to the USBA website?

Criticisms is what make improvements, where there a postive, there a negative..

Funny no BOD member mention ... You don't have to log in to view Public Forum, just click forum .

I'm disappointed old posts/threads were lost or not shown in Public forum.

As Andy J stated, " work in project"

Oh! Zensteve I didn't ask for anyone to respond to my post. I just stated what I saw missing...

I didn't say you asked someone to respond to your criticism. I said you caused someone to respond because of the tenor of your criticism. And you had a sense of accomplishment because he did respond.

I was wondering if you think this advances the improvement of the USBA website. You answered my question by saying "criticism is what makes improvements". I didn't know criticism necessarily makes improvements.

Thank you for clearing this up for me.

Thanks for the feedback. I appreciate and will consider all comments.

We’ve added a button on the website’s home page that will direct you to the old webpage as we continue our efforts to migrate content and functions from the old site to the new. It is in the left hand column and is labeled “Take Me Back.” If you don’t see it, you may have to clear your cookies and cache (which may cause your browser to return to an older version of the new site).

The old webpage has many of the features that an early mentioned had not been moved over. We will gradually be adding more of the old features and trying to improve upon them as we do.

We’ll continue with the efforts to move content, such as the historical data (past national champions, annual rankings, etc.).

We’ve begun posting new stories.
