New Year-New Shop Toys-Going to Sell Hightower

Jake thanks for posting these pictures.
WOW!!!!!! Mr. Searing lathe looks like just fresh out of the Factory box. It look so clean. I wonder what kind of Belt he use on this lathe? It looks like a car Super Charger belt . But the paint job is awesome on this lather. Looks like there is a lot of time spend on this lathe.

hehe, here is a pic of Dennis lathe before the rework ... woww, what amount of work !!!

Very Inspiring, not sure how good mine will look, but will be better than I found it.

Slow going. Progressing for sure, walked by it this morning and I didn't get dirty.

About to pull the motor, got most of it prepped, it is almost all down to bare metal. Going to get some more painted tonight(going to be a bright one), had to order some seals, gears, belts, hose, a six jaw chuck and need to find someone who has a book on "how to put a lathe back together"..lol..
Got a lot of orders to get out, so tonight is the last night for a few days, maybe next weekend.

Should be finished in a couple week.

Tomorrow is CNC work and cleaning the shop.

Lathe

I cleaned up a old lathe that had layers of shop grime build up, I used oven cleaner to knock that junk loose, works great and cleaned up with little effort.

Best if luck.

From what it looks like, the GS2 does have a built in potentiometer in the keypad.

Also, it looks like the keypad can be separated and mounted remotely. That way you can put the VFD out of the way, and mount the keypad in a convenient location for use.

Royce

You should be able to put a pot on any VFD through the low voltage bus...

Here it is, not done by no means, but its getting a lot closer, won't be long and I will be cutting wood on it.
