Hi I tried cork, couldn't get them to stay togather . So I tried corn cob, much better!!

Those corncobs are nice Jim, did you stabilize them, or harden them somehow first?

Original corn cob use

When I was coming up, We always use a red one first, then a white one to see if another red one was needed. No stain would be needed but a good coat of sealer would sure be necessary !!

I was raised on a small farm in Iowa, and I personally know what your talking about. Rough as a cob, HUH. Jim
 
That cork JP is a fun idea and looks good, durable or not, neat idea.

Bob and Jim,
I'd bet the cork would be softer than the cob but personally I like 2 ply TP.
The cob was functional however.:shakehead: I think I'll leave the cobs to the :oink::oink::oink:.

Luckily, though I was raised in Kansas, I missed that part of our history. But if you are out on the plains with no tree leaves available and only the grass that could cut you in all the wrong places, the other choices would have been worse.
