I'd just like to wish the contributors to this forum a happy and prosperous New Year. The" Ask the CM" section is, to me, what sets AZ well above the other forums. As an inquisitive former engineering student, I'm always interested in the processes and theories behind the equipment of the game. The willingness of the members to openly share information and lessons learned from experience is nothing short of commendable, especially since the recepient of the sharing is often one who could be considered a competitor in the market. Best wishes for the coming year, and thanks again. Keep those posts coming, even when you disagree!

You think this bunch of cranky hacks is the best thing out there? You're just as nutty as we are!

Sheldon,
In my other hobby of building, fixing and racing Sprint Cars (see avatar) I work with machinists all the time. "Nutty hacks" are easy to take in comparison to some guy who came off 11 hours at an EDM machine taking a couple of tenths off a die for a heart pacemaker allen wrench. Especially when it's midnight on the night before a race day and something's still broke on the race car.

Yeah, you've got a good point there... :)

Of course I was being quite sarcastic with my original post, I happen to agree with you.
This is the only forum I frequent, that is pool related. I read ONLY the ask the cuemaker section, as well. My shortcut to the site goes directly to this forum. :)

Wishing all

I wholeheartedly agree!!! What other sport are the makers, builders having to deal with posters drunk or sober, young and old-where someone can burn bridges with a stroke of a key board- I hope all the bussniessmen here at AZ , cuemakers continue to enlighten us with there hard work. Thanks for all the Time. I think most forget it's not wether you win or loose it is how you play the game. The difference between men and boys -is the price of the toys. Thanks to the cuemakers around the world, with out you guys I wouldn't be having so much fun. mark

Sending a lifetime of thanks and holiday wishes

I have spent a great deal of my life meeting different cuemakers. It is nice to meet many here on AZ. Thanks to all for the memory's I already have, and to those I will surely meet in the future. With about 500 cuemakers. I wonder how many others just lurk-without posting. mark
