New York City pool halls

Rockaway Billiards...

It's about 50 minutes out from Manhatten when traffic isn't gridlocked, but they have a practice pass for $35/month, play another who has a pass, table time is 50% off regular rates. Fifteen 9' Goldcrown I's covered in Simonis 860, and two Brunswick Goldcrown billiard tables.

Well! if you want to see pros around, Amsterdam is the place. Mika, Ginky, Tony Robles, Flaco, Thorsten, Jennifer B, all play there at any given day. Masters in Queens is a good 'action' pool room as well as Skyline in Brooklyn. Soho is nice and quite and good for practice. Broadway Billiards you can't beat because its open all night. As for myself, I play at the Leagues in Amsterdam but practice in Soho and Broadway. Good luck and I think New York is an excellent pool town when the players come out of the woodwork!

Just wanted to give a big thanks to all that had replied. Im looking forward to my trip and possible move even more.

Thanks again

Someone told me that Masters might close. I sure hope not. Anyone else hear this?

Brooklyn has some decent spots and is much easier on the wallet. I think Skyline is one of the best rooms in the whole city. I play at Park Slope Billiards mostly. Good rates, decent tables and its righty by my house.

Me is a flatlander from Canada. Did travel thru the Big Apple in my younger days but wasn't able to stop. I'd give my right whatever to visit again and
play in any of the rooms you guys have mentioned. We don't have much for good rooms in my city.
