Did someone mention bacon?

Welcome to the forums, MPerkins. After you retire from the U.S. Air Force, you can apply the motto: 'Aim High ... Fly-Fight-Win' to your pool game. Enjoy your new game room and thank you so much for your service to our great nation.

A humble "Thanks" to you MyImmortal.......I do love my job, and there will be the presence of the "Air Force" in my pool room!;)

Room size

Question for those of you with table's at home.....I have one 52" cue. Will I need a 48" cue in my room? Again, the deminsions are 12'X15'7"...

Thanks in advance and love this forum already....:D

Yeah, you're going to want one ... or two. I think the inside dimensions of your table is going to have ~40" width for playing surface. If a ball is tight up against a cushion and you are shooting perpendicular across, 144" - 40" = 104" or 52" per side with no room for stroking or a bumper and tip on your cue without jacking up.

That's what you'll be up against (figuratively and literally). Might as well get the 48" and get a decent one at that!!!

+1 on Freddie's recommendation. I have a 7' Olhausen in a 13'x20' and still have a couple of rail shots where it's a little tight. I have a 52" and a 48".

Hi MPerkins and welcome to the forums. I'm also a bit new around here but already I've found AZ to be a tremendous resource to aspiring pool players like you and me. I'm sure you will also find that it's a great resource.

Can't wait to see picks of your room.

Rob.

Glad to have you here MPerkins. We're all here to help (well, most of us :-).

Any questions? Fire away. One thing is for sure: you WILL get a response.

Welcome to the website that will absorb most of your Internet time from now on.

:)

PS, I highly recommend going on the field trip. They are usually moderately entertaining.
