This beautiful Budweiser logo cue was a gift from my favorite and only sister who isn’t involved with billiards and had no idea of it’s true value. The logo’s are near mint and the dings and dents other places add character and verify this is an actual playing cue. The lovely matching vinyl case is lined with gorgeous red cloth.

The cue was in need of some TLC in some areas, and was better left as is in other areas to preserve the original character. I am really looking forward to seeing how it plays. At a little over 57” with a 19.5” balance point it feels a little front heavy but time will tell.

I am very eager to show it off at the Moonlight Inn and have already dubbed it my “Bubba Stick”.

Please note this last image: This versatile stick can be used to play eight or nine ball!

Is that a Moori tip on it? Its not the cue its the shooter. Good luck

The few "minor" changes: Removed old pin and joint collar and used a rock maple dowel to replace enough shaft wood to let me put a new stainless pin in the center of the butt. Double linen phenolic joint collars for butt and shaft. A reject shaft for this experiment, too much grain run out for a customer stick, a quality ferule that had some discoloration, and yes a moori medium tip. The butt is still slightly warped but that is hard to tell when you have all of that loose thread under your hand that feels like a dirty t-shirt anyway.

If it plays half-decent I'll make another shaft for it out of quality wood and replace the pin with a g-10 one to move the balance point a little further back. Debating plain black irish linen or a plain black leather wrap. I never have liked irish linen and I don't think many folks would recognize smooth black leather was a quality wrap. If I really like it I may fix the butt with a piece of quality maple before putting a new wrap on.

It Plays!

The verdict is in. The stick plays. I'd say at least 95% of a custom without a very stiff forearm. Figured a quality stick from the joint forward didn't much care what was in the rear but I wanted to see. One surprise, I played as well or better with the forward(for me) weight. May have to give that more thought.

More of these type sneaky's to come in the future, they are fun. The one thing I hate about this one for me to play with is the very short case. With a long wingspan I would like to stretch the stick a little and it would no longer fit the factory case. Oh well, seven footers here I come!

perfect bar hustler

i was seriously thinking about having the local maker doctor one of those cues. im thinking about going with a simpsons cue and having a shaft made/new pin/new wrap/re-balanced. i could easily get $5-$10 games of eightball ALL FREAKING NIGHT!

Just throw a custom sneaky pete through the shit house window so they dont see you bring it in and then people will think your playing with a house cueJust keep and eye on it so it doesnt disappear, people wont know its not a house cue so try to put it in the corner or where its kinda out of site. The Budweiser is pretty cool though, imagine walking into a poolhall with one and just having a nice shaft and tip on it,people might give you anything you want, might have to use the knuckle bridge though as part of the hustle, lol.:D
