Usually there are some tournaments during the Holiday season, and around New Year's is no exception.

Are you going to play Pool on New Year's Eve? If so, a tournament? I don't drink, so I am not a big partier anymore. I prefer to just find some friends, have a good time, and play some good Pool.

I guess I will be going to Southrock Billiards tomorrow night for an 8 ball tournament where 1st will pay $150. Southrock is my normal weekly tournament I play in on Friday nights usually, and I did last night, split 1st and 2nd with a guy. They are now using Bob Jewett's handicapping system for the last 2-3 months.

After the tournaemnt at Southrock, I will head to Shooters, as I always do, since the money games are primarily there. Played in a 10 ball ring game last night for $5, then $10, and ended with $20 a man.

Well, I know there is a shoot tonight, but I will not be attending, as it is our annual Capricorn party. I happen to know a lot of Capricorns, and they are always complaining about how they get short-shafted for their birthdays because of Christmas....so, about 4 years ago, we started throwing a Capricorn party...kinda like a jumbo birthday party...lol. I will be on the pool table most the night tho'!;)

I am not sure if the regular shoot tomorrow night will be happening or not...and quite frankly, I will likely avoid it, as there will be too many drunks and police on the roads...I'll stay close to home.

Last night, I did not get my fix for pool for the week at our weekly Friday night tournament, as my daughter is feeling very lonely after a horrible breakup, so I stayed home with her, watching movies. :o

Tonight, Kerry Impson and I are meeting an old friend for dinner. We WERE thinking about playing in a tournament, but thought we would rather have a gab session after dinner. :D

On New Year's Eve, there is a tournament at City Lights in Tacoma, I believe there is supposed to be $1000 total in prize money plus a break pot.

New Year's Day will see us again on the big tables in a double tournament. Uncle Jacks in Lynnwood is throwing a 9-ball AND an 8-ball tournament on the bar boxes there, with $250 added.

Should be a rootin' tootin' weekend seeing all my pool buddies from both the north and south ends. :)

I got my pool fix last night. :) Doc let me off FMLA for returning to work this Tuesday after 12 weeks off so I couldn't get to the pool hall faster. Not that I am happy about going back to the crappy job work gave me. Oh well, looking for a new job is always fun.

Happy New Years everyone, be safe.

I'm probably going to hit some balls in the early afternoon/evening and then do something else afterwards. Might even get to bed early as lame as that sounds because I have to work on New Years Day and I start early. I am going to play some New Years Day afternoon though for sure:)

tbh i want to play pool but am already commited to go out somewhere (nobody knows where yet) with friends. Probably end up at some drunken house party!

I'll be shooting at some point, but I think I'll get some drinking done as well...lol. UNLESS, I do it tonight!

P.S. No tournaments I know of, though.

I havent played hardly at all for the past two weeks due to a nasty case of the flu. I'm going to rest up on New Years so I doubt I play. :(

My nine year old always tries to stay up until midnight, but so far, has always fallen asleep before. I think I try to teach her draw and follow on New Year's Eve. That should keep her busy for a while. :D

Dont forget to drink the sparkling grape juice in the wine glasses. :D My kids love to do that on New Years.

No pool or drinking for me this time. My wife is working a night shift at the hospital & I'll be taking the kids to an all-nighter at the skating place, then picking them up at 6am!:(

Tuesday night will be the next time I play. Damn, no pool until next year!

Yup! I've been sidlined with the flu for the last week, so I'm itching to get back to the table. My chances of getting action around here are about as high as winning the Powerball, so I'll be doing my usual practice routine--unless, of course, one of you guys is boarding a plane to St. Thomas sometime today.

Wanna play some?

I'll probably just go the pool room and practice, it should be pretty slow there.

Yes it is slow. I'm the only one in the building until you get here!

Yes. I will be playing. My fiancee and I are going to our American Legion post for a New Year's Eve party and we will be playing some 8 ball with everyone there. It's just a bar box, but we'll still be playing!

Happy New Year,
Craig

Just going to hang out at the house because about 20 years ago I got tired of getting run over by drunks.
Got hit in my car by drunk drivers not once, but twice in a 3 year period.
Walked off both times with just a few bruises.
The last time I got hit, the other driver said the sun had blinded him. Too bad it was 11:00 at night.
Maybe it's just paranoia, but if I go out, I feel like I have a target painted on my back.

Oh boy! What a miracle...12week disability AND FMLA is 12 weeks. It is a Christmas miracle.
