I have been very fortunate to work with some of the top player/coaches in pool. In continuing with the highest level of instruction available, I am excited to announce that Ron Vitello the originator of the 90/90 Aiming and Banking Systems has agreed to work with me to produce his new 2 DVD set.

We are set to start filming next week.

I need your input on things you want to see, or questions you have that we can answer in the video.

Ron also has a workbook that contains 175 practice shots, it is a spiral bound book with diagrams that you can take to the table to set up the shots.
We are looking for feedback as to whether we should combine the book with the DVDs.
Ron feels the book with the DVD would be the best solution. You can watch the DVDs then take the workbook to the table, set it on the edge and have the shots diagramed there for you.
Please give us your feedback, and any questions. We want to hear from you so we can answer your questions.
Thank you,
Mark Otto

Ron is without a doubt one of the smartest people I ever met when it comes to simplifying pool. I'm proud to call him a friend and coach.

I'd be interested in a book whether it was part of the DVD set or not. You could offer it as an additonal item for purchase as a package deal. Either way the book is a must have for me.

Best,
Mike

I would definately buy both. Not sure that would be good marketing or not (cost for both could intimidate some imho) . Maybe an additional purchase? Can't wait!

Great occasion for us non-americans to be able to hear what Ron has to say, I heard nothing but great things about him. Think a book+DVDs combo would be a super package!

For me and understanding 90/90 fully, I personally need a lot of emphasis on the 'hip pivot'. I'd be very interested in purchasing the DVD when it is available.

With this being a 2 DVD set, could the 2nd disc include, after all instruction has been completed on discs 1 & 2, clear diagrams used in the book, with RonV talking over as the narrator describing the goal and explaining them?

Thanks Roy, price is always an important part. Ron is checking out the costs for the book, of course the more you buy the lower the price per unit. We are looking at it from all angles.
Thanks,
Mark

I will have 4 or 5 cameras on him to show the pivot. I to am very interested in catching the pivot as it is vital to the system.
As for the narration we will see what is needed.
Thank you for your input,
Mark

Mr. Bad Memory here. Is Ron the fellow that does some of the teaching over the phone?

I would be interested in a complete set. DVDs are nice if you have a table in your basement but if you have to go to the hall to practice the drills, a book would be great.

Mark:

I agree with Mike. Video/DVDs are great for "demonstrative" purposes, but a book is better for *study* purposes. Pairing the two is the best of both worlds -- Freddy the Beard's products are a good example -- e.g. "Banking with the Beard" is available as both a book and DVD, and they complement each other, but the book is where the real rubber meets the road when it comes to *study material*.

One suggestion that I have for you concerning the book, is to make sure it is spiral-bound so it lays flat on the table. One of the problems with the book version of Freddy' the Beard's products that I had to personally solve, was to take the book to a nearby Staples or Kinkos to have the glued spine of the book sliced-off, the pages punched for a spiral binding, and the spiral binding installed. The book now lays flat on the table as it should for "study material." This was inexpensive to do, but was a step that, IMHO, could be better implemented at the outset when the book is published.

Hope that's a helpful suggestion!

Consider having someone like SpiderWebComm look over your DVD before publishing. He apprently understands 90/90 and can offer valuable insight for the DVD.

Yes Ron does phone lessons and in person. There are a lot of posters here who use his system, which is why I sought him out.
If he has something to share that will help, I want to help get it out.
I agree about the book, I just want to get feedback from others.

Sean,
The book is spiral bound so it will lay on the table.
Thanks

I know Ron and Dave have worked together, and that is a good idea.
I always try to run them by a few people before I finalize the video.
After looking at them in editing you tend to glaze over, and another opinion helps. I will talk to Ron about this when we film.
Thanks,
Mark
