HILL HILL! Shaw, I'm now a fan!
Race to 11.
Ko is complaining that he had to break when the balls weren't tight, but that the ref is reracking for Shaw when he says they're not tight.
Sounds like some shady stuff going on.

Wow,,,,,,, Shaw showed some heart ! Unreal jump shot and runs the set with KO on the hill .... Woooooooow

Yes, totally unfair to Ko. Shaw not only had the ref re-rack, but also had him clean every single ball with a cloth. While Ko just had to be content to break with a bad rack.
Nonetheless, cannot take away anything from Shaw. That jump shot and bank to win the match. Crazy good player.
Ko was trying to be too cute with the cut break to guarantee the made ball, but not enough power to get the needed 2 balls across the headstring. He just wasn't hitting them with the strength needed.
The accu rack is usually very good and freezing the balls. Not sure why they weren't freezing here, but both players were having problems after the ref racked. Karl, the ref, would try to oblige by trying to freeze them up but again, it's on a racking template so what could he have done?
I never saw the ref re-rack for any player, as in remove the balls and start over, so it appeared they both got equal treatment.
Jayson just broke with more power, still using the cut break to guarantee the made ball, but the desired action on the other balls to cross the head string. So any non frozen balls were not a factor in his breaks.
But wow was that a match! Jayson just went into a repeat of last year and didn't let Ko back to the table with an array of great shots and precision runouts.
You could tell both players were tired and fighting to focus. Mistakes were made and they had to overcome them.
I have to say, Jayson must be in Ko's head a bit now. After the come back last year, the defeat in the Kuwait open finals, and then this comeback...I'll give Jayson the psychological edge the next time these two play. No lead is safe for big ko when Jayson is at the table.

The ref gives Ko a bad rack, but makes him break anyway. Illegal break, but Shaw runs to the 7 and misses. Easy 3 ball out for Ko to go up 9-5. Shaw shooting .729 now.
