That aint no Szamboti blank.It's a Palmer blank. Still a super nice cue.

At least one shaft not original. Can't tell the other.

Selling price reflects the splice and the shaft. It went for $1200.

With two original shafts and a Szam splice a nice Model J seems to go for about 2 grand.

The cork wrap is interesting, if nothing else. Not too many do that these days; wonder who did the refinish and rewrap. And true, splice is not a Szam.

Agree. The left shaft looks like it has the right age and ring thicknesses to be original. But, would need to see the pilot, as Palmers had a certain bevel to the brass insert. The right shaft is obviously newer, not as good ring proportions.
