Just wanted to congratulate Landon on a good job of commentating in the booth with Grady during the Action Challenge last night. I thought it was quite a pair, old Grady & young Landon!

Haha i thought it was a girl and called him reba mcentire because he had that crazy apparent southern draw :( woops

Landon did a great job and he has an open invitation from us to do more commentary whenever he can.

Look for some more of him from the Derby.

I thought he was great! Very bright and knowledgeable kid w/a gift for gab not unlike Gradys. At the end of Landon's commentary did I hear Grady right? I though he told Landon "you know a little too much". Which I took to mean that Landon didn't show The Professor enough respect because he stole the show from Grady.

Mitch should take notes. Landon Gives him and a few other guys in the booth the 5 out and the breaks, Mitch isnt allowed in the room whan Landon showes up-so I cant make a line on that match up in the booth.

Landon should major in broadcasting and be a champion pool player he was GREAT!!!! He never ceases to amaze me, his Dad Stan is a great guy too, someday when I have kids I hope I'm half as lucky as Stan is. Stan has worked hard but to have a son like Landon there has to be some luck in there, I was a good son too. I lived to make my parents proud. The harder you work ther luckier you get, ask, Efren or Stan.

Congrats

stan

Just needs to work on his non-regional-specific-dialect, as they say in the TV news business. But I'm sure he can succeed in anything he sets his mind to. Good luck with the broadcasting career Landon!

With all due respect, I don't think luck has very much to do with it. As you said, Stan is a great guy too, and Landon's mother is a class act as well. Both are teachers. What kids need today is often their parent's time. The Shuffets could have concentrated on making money, instead they concentrated on their kids, and quality time together.

Just an example, each night after dinner, Stan and Landon go to their poolroom and practice for 2 hours. Drills, playing the ghost, breaking, whatever. Do you think that Stan or Landon feel like doing that every single night? Of course not, but they are taking the time to teach their son discipline and the value of hard work. Each weekend Stan and Landon set out for all points east and west to attend the most appropriate tournament. I'm sure that gets old as well at times. The results show.

It doesn't need to be said again but Landon conducts himself like a young gentleman on all occasions. I've only met him once, when I was at their home for three days of lessons, but it was quickly apparent that respect and proper behavior was very important. Stan has insisted on that, and nothing less would be acceptable. Stan and his wife should give parenting lessons too. Their daughter is beautiful and successfull also. Kiley, Landon's sister, was recently featured as a model for the ESPN2 production of the UPA Pro Tour Championship in Los Angeles. Also for the 2nd year in a row, Kiley was awarded 1st Runner-Up at Miss Kentucky's Outstanding Teen program. Luck ? I don't think so...Tom
